I havent logged on for a few days - my loo still needs fixing - so far it has taken 2 men around about 10 hours all told and it still isnt fixed:mad:

I mislaid my personal mobile that my mum had been ringing and leaving messages on - I found it under the bed with a battery as dead as a dodo. I rang mum from my landline on Christmas Eve and she immediately turned a reasonable christmas into a bad one:( I have been so wrapped up in what is going on with me I hadn't given them another thought and in so doing I have hurt my dad. A dad who was very ill to start off with having congestive heart failure but it seems that his melanoma is back and he is having a lump removed from his head in the New Year (silly b*gger tried to incise it himself because he hates going to the doctors), I also discovered that he has prostate cancer which he has refused treatment for (he has an off the scale PSA reading).

I went to see them yesterday clutching my small gifts - Mum immediately gave me a handmade glass decoration for my tree that she bought for me from the local craft centre - it is made from twisted glass which contains two clear glass and one large white twists encased in clear glass. I had a wonderful dinner too - a mix of roast lamb and turkey with roast spuds, proper gravy cauliflower and sprouts followed by a home made treacle sponge with Aldi fresh custard. Mum didnt fancy making any custard of her own.

I came away with £100 in cash which I shall use and buy 6 months' road tax and she paid off my Virgin CC to the tune of an additional £2010.26 - they have offered to pay my rent as well. I feel so useless:( They have been looking for a house for me and looked at the places in Lowhill Lane but they weren't impressed because the garden is tiny and there is literally no storage inside - even the 4 bed with the garage was useless because the garage is so small. I may have seen a house anyway - a 3 bed with garage, off road parking and front and back gardens with central heating & double glazing for £125k - the 2 bed flats on leashold up in Lowhill Lane are £125K with no garden or garage. I shall keep looking though because i don't want to live here any more - it is too noisy - Christmas Eve was the quietest night I have had as the clog dancers upstairs had gone away, however, they were back last night and it was hell:(

Mum loved her free Christmas Present - 1 full size Lancome eye palette (freebie) and a sample Chanel mascara and Elizabeth Arden mini lipstick in a colour that she loves (free gift). Dad loved his fudge. I came home with a food parcel (some cakes and mincepies which I have now polished off:(), half the turkey crown (Dad hates turkey so Mum would still be eating it next christmas), a homemade treacle sponge, a pack of bread rolls, a bag of frozen stewed Comice pears, a box of multigrain crackers which are as nice as Jacobs but at least half the price (from Aldi).

I have promised to visit more often as Mum needs me to sit with her when she takes Dad's car out for a spin - she hasn't driven for quite a while and needs to get her confidence back. I might show her how to get to Bishops Cleeve without going on the motorway (she hates motorways) but she will have to drive on a dual carriageway which is not so scary. Her sister lives in Bishops Cleeve.

I pinched an idea of MG's from the Matrix of having a treats box - so far I have eaten my mini Fox's party rings, today I have used the posh bookmark that I have had lurking for a while meaning to give it away as a present, I have watched three films on my portable DVD Player: Kangaroo Jack, Made of Honour, Ladies in Lavender. I shall use the posh napkin that I kept after my Christmas meal at the golf club when I have my dinner tonight. Dinner is slow cooked lamb shank using the lamb stock left over from the last time I made it (this is my last lamb shank). The turkey breast has been sliced and I have put little boxes of it in the freezer.

I can say that I have eaten all the mini mincepies and the alcoholic chocs that my mate Sal sent me, I am part way through the vegetable crisps and I may even cook the boozy panettone christmas pud tonight as well.

Here's hoping that 2012 will be better than this year but I do fear that my Dad won't be around to see another christmas.

Sometimes mobile phones can be a right pain. So sorry to hear you upset your parents unintentionally. Glad that you were able to have a meal with them though. I hope the surgery goes well for your dad. Is there a reason he won't have treatement for the prostate cancer? My mum's friend had it, and was treated successfully....

    Happy New Year peeps.

Chev - Dad has refused treatment because he is so ill and already leads a pretty miserable life due to having congestive heart failure and his basal cell melanoma is back too. He can barely hold a knife and fork these days due to having quite severe shakes.

I have been feeling incredibly down - yesterday I had a call from Healthy Minds who have decided that I don't really need their help, however they referred me to some healthy training which will help with diet and getting me out of the house to help my emotional state. They have also referred me to Mitre Employment which is a free service for those with mental illness to help them get a job.

Today, is the first time I have logged onto the computer since Christmas so I have had a whole load of spam to deal with - too bad if there was an important email in that lot because they have all gone. I need to sort out a divorce and now know what I need to do - my parents are justifiably disappointed that I am walking away with furniture and nothing else because it isnt much to show for 25 years' of marriage - comments have been made by them about my poor existence. I certainly didn't mean to find myself in poverty.

To cap it all, my uveitis is back and I have ezcema brought on by stress and today I am even more stressed as I have recieved a letter from the HMRC saying that I owe them tax from 2007-08 to the tune of £447.76:eek: How the f*** am I going to pay that? I am trying to get my debts cleared - the Virgin CC has gone but I need to be rid of the Visa card (I am in the care programme for Amex for 12 months which will give me breathing space). I also need to clear the business overdraft, pay off bully, pay my accountant and now pay this ruddy tax bill. I have decided that tomorrow I will go to Birmingham and visit various jewellers to see what they will offer me for my watch - it seems pointless wearing a £2.5-3K watch when I have debt, I will just have to earn more to buy another one further down the line. I have decided that some things will go to auction e.g. the 19th C Chinese Gaming Chips and the very posh Victorian Light that was given to me ages ago by my aunt which has been converted to modern wiring - I need to get a valuation. What may well go to auction is my original 1960's spinny chair and even my oil painting that was bought with money that was left to me by my grandma - I may well get around £800 for it now (this and the chair will come back to me from him indoors). I am also considering selling some if not all my collection of carnival glass which consists of around 300 pieces (most of the collection lives in my parents' loft).

I feel really low and very very scared.
