Parking Eye Appeal Rejected...What Next???

  • It said on the appeals to send any information to assist with appeal, 'proof of purchase via bank statement etc.' it was just a list of payments, when you get these things, you assume they're kosher and above board....didn't think to Google it at the time :( it looked official and I've never got a a parking ticket before, it's a case of being wise after the event!

You wouldn't be the first to be taken in, after all that's their plan. Simply ignore them from now on!
  • Thanks everyone for replying, it's a massive weight off my mind :)
  • Hi guys, i too have recieved a parking fine off parking eye (parkingeye.co.uk) from newquay, there were signs, my mistake, not reading them at night assuming its free like all the car parks in my town at night!, so where do i stand? should i pay? thanks.

Was it a pay and display car park? If it was then you would theoretically owe them the parking fee. However Parking eye would rather try and penalise you with a disproportionate amount of money.

So everyone here will no doubt advise you to ignore them. Including me!!;)

For a start its not a "fine", it's an unenforceable invoice, and secondly, if you had read the other threads on here, you would have seen that your case is no different to the many others featured on this forum. To put it another pay you don't have to pay and you should ignore Parking Eye and do not contact them. It's as simple as that.

    Hi all, please help.

Now I have received another final demand with the fine gone up from £60 to £90, and if I did not pay they would send baliffs. Worried that now I have written to them do I run an increased risk if I ignore the letters now. I was the driver but not the registered keeper.
Do I pay or do I run the risk of a CCJ?

Parking Eye are sending the bailiffs? That is nothing other than scare-tactics. All mouth, no action... they'd need a county court judgement to enable bailiffs to collect the (not even owed) "debt"!

My family recently received their first Parking Eye notice recently... ignorance is key and if they persist and threaten bailiffs with me, I will abruptly remind them of the law, remind of the laws of harassment and remind them of the case “Excel Parking Services v Hetherington-Jakeman”, Mansfield County Court, March 2008 in which the judge explicitly prohibited a PPC’s use of threatening tactics, and the unsubstantiated threat of bailiffs clearly amounts to that.

Thanks for that, I just read the other threads after i posted so apologies for that. Surely they shouldn't be allowed to operate.

Ignore Parking Spy, hopefully when the Freedom Bill comes in the likes of companies like Parking Spy whom use cameras to automatically issue loo-paper will go bust.

They operate just the right side of the law. Hence their paperwork which mimics that issued by councils, and the use of the initials "PCN" which in their case just means "parking charge notice" whereas a "proper" ticket form the council is a "penalty charge notice".

The best way to beat these scam artists is to spread the word amongst your friends and family, and tell them all not to be intimidated by all their hollow and meaningless threats.
