Wierd. I don't quite have time to catch up on the 15 or so pages since I last logged in. Without appearing rude, can any nice peeps give an overview of what has gone on since boxing day?:)

How did chewie's dilemma resolve itself for example?

LJ closed the gap in the Fantasy football, also Purc neck not hurting anymore from looking down, BTW where has Dopester gone? :)

When we've done a roof that shallow, we made a flat roof underneath which met building regs so that the tiled area was operational, but there was a backup.

It's the wind that gets up it, hopefully it won't be like today very often.

    Did you make an offer?

Well my gas guzzler has gone. Good lady had her car written off. 3 in 5 years and never her fault. She took sum lump sums from a couple of small pensions and we were going to go flash. Fairly newish Golf Tdi was what I fancied. Got a silly high payment out for the bashed up motor so very pleased with that. Phoned my garage mate and said we were in the market. In the end he sold her a Hyundai Accent, 1.3 litres of uncontrolled raw power. Boy was a bargain. Cash still in the bank and and a cheap motor with 33,000 on the clock.

We call it the Hyundai Old people Carrier SE. The SE bit is a zimmer carrier and built in commode. Pimp my ride or what!

It didn't, it is still in limbo at the moment. I will get around to talking to her at some point soon, it's her birthday in 2 weeks and then I'm off skiing, so will prob wait until that is done. Probably a bad idea as my preparation will be discussing what to do with 7 other blokes over 15 rounds of jaeger bombs.

We were all with DL, each getting 20% discount for have someone else insured with them, plus a discount for house insurance. Then the renewal for DS went sky high, even though he got another year NCD and no claims. So his car moved to Admiral, which gave a discount because his car is home while he is at uni. Admiral were also happy to add DS2 as a named driver until renewal.

Now friends in the area with similar set up say Admiral multi car is the way to go. Apparently you commit to move each car to Admiral multi car on their renewal and do a part year, so next year they will all have the same renewal. .

We now have that as our car insurance is ridiculous up here (cos of grim post code and 25 yo son on it) but works well for us and I prefer the renewal all at the same time as saves time. We'll add DD to it once she passes in a month or so (she has already saved up for her car, a little Fiat) but I need to check before she does buy it as she'll be under 18 and she could almost be un-insurable in this area. Son was quoted 5k for a 55 plate Polo.

I last had a PM chat in Oct and, looking at his posting history his last but 1 post was early Nov and was a nice message to PN and a para on his past that could explain a lot of why he thought the way he did. I miss DStars posts and outlook.
Maybe he got the girl and she's keeping him busy in RL instead.:)

I never know what's on telly.... I change channels when the current one annoys me..... and then I flick through until I find something to replace it.

I've never found an efficient way of organising my viewing and discovering and remembering what's on, when and on which channel.
