Any NPs ever visited Milton Keynes? When I first came to England that was my nearest big town /city. A bigger grid pattern than Glasgow. It seemed to have some of the ideas Center Parcs uses.

Lots of greenerry and trees, can't see houses from the roads, no traffic lights, no TV aeriels, lots of cycle paths, all buildings low-rise, everything's in the middle of town, completely covered shopping in the centre, not many pubs.

I was impressed by a lot of it except the lack of facilities in the suburbs - made me think that Glasgow's planners had been hired for an extra project

I got lost once & ended up there. Can't recall where I was going. I can definitely recall thinking "what a horrible place" & I turned round & exited, stage left...

Do you find 1m comfortable for two people to pass each other?

Strangelyaltough my mortgage company don't do consent to let it would seem if you phone them and say you have a work contract requiring you to move away for 6-12 months then they do. However income multiples are an issue at the momnet as I am not planning to earn a decent monthly amount until next April for tax reasons. My lil bro is interested in the deal but he is working aborad and already has a btl in this country.

    Have you borrowed lir's keyboard?;)

I haven't picked any of those toms yet, but I guess there won't be many. Even my winter lettuce, rocket and other unfussy stuff is almost stationary ATM.....and when it freezes...:(

Added a few ladybirds to the conservatory, more in hope than expectation. If it gets colder, I may open the doors during the daytime to let wrens in, as they'll polish of the greenfly. There's no sign of them wanting to do this yet. Too much easy food about.;)

    Shortest Day on Thursday! :D

Right-o. I'm actually going to the football match this evening, so I'll see you all later.

I shall be wearing many, many layers to sit out in this weather.

If we lose, DON'T PANIC! I'll be back soon.;)

    Congratulations :T

Aww! You say the nicest things. Thank you. :)
I hope you have a CALM and loving christmas you darling woman. Your refusal to be beaten by life even fighting against that you are running on empty is so inspirational. I'm proud of you and feel very, very lucky to know you.

You say the nicest things too. :)

But you know pefectly well why giving up is not an option - my children are like your animals: once you're reponsible for them, you just have to keep going no matter what.

My grandparents had one. It was amazing - could really feel the heat off it.
Not very mse I'd assume though...

Well, I think it is very MSE if you have a separate loo. It may use a lot of power for the few minutes you're in there, but the total energy used is peanuts compared with the wastefulness of heating the room all the time. Wouldn't work with kids though - they're incapable of remembering to turn lights off. (Well, mine are, anyway. :o)
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)
