lj, my experience of her was she was a rude and selfish egotistical bint (I only met her in a shop) and she was outraged when she couldn't queue jump. she actually said to me ''do you know who I am''. Its not like e to be rude but.....

I can't imagine you happy for long with someone rude and selfish.

She shopped with us once and OH didn't recognise her as she quietly queued for the changing room (another custoner flagged her up). Didn't seem to mind waiting and I think she bought whatever it was without asking for sleb discount. She owned a gorgeous flat on the front for a while some years back.

You wouldn't believe the amount of minor slebs who blatantly ask for free stuff nowadays *tsssk* even to the extent of sending a list (with a value of £100's of pounds). DD is very very selective and rarely sends out to them. If we decide to send out, some don't even bother to drop a tweet message to say thanks.
The 'richest girl in the world' got a package on request and sent a lovely thank-you note. Makes such a difference to ones day :)

I ordered my 2 lovely loos (thanks dooz) but struggling with the small square sink as we don't need tap holes (as current very nice tap sticks out the mirror on the wall). Can you buy 'porcelain plugs' to stick in the tap hole?

    Hope NDG's move went well

I hated NY but then I hate pubs without carpets.

Edit: so anyone fun should take this as a recommendation to go.

My dorset based friend lived in NYC for a while back in the 80's(2 years I think, can't recall how the employment status worked then, maybe she overstayed her visa). She liked the buzz but found she was working all hours as a waitress to pay the rent etc and came back as she felt she wasn't 'living' the NY life any longer as it became a drudge just to get by.

I have never been to USA ever but we are presenting to a 'jury' (their word) to show at a trade fair in Feb. The cost is insane but if we get the 'yay' then we'll go for 8 days (using up 4 for the event). Fingers crossed.
Actually, between me and the NP's I want this really really badly as it sends us into a more..um... refined direction and one that I feel more comfortable trading within. No more battery fashion yay:j

Took 8 months of 'heated debate' with OH and he has finally agreed with son, daughter and myself in the end.......we all wanted to concentrate on 'Free Range' with a smattering of 'organic'.

We always have to agree 100% on any changes or routes we take in the business, sometimes we all agree in 5 mins, others take a year.

Rumour is that there may be some whitestuff around tomorrow in the S

Forecast just looks like a load of crappy rain in SW London. Trains have not coped with about 1mm rain a day in the last 2 weeks. Here's hoping for three snowflakes and all trains cancelled tomorrow.

Gave evidence in tribunal today, QC1 was the most ineffective I have ever been on the receiving end of, he had to stop half way through after he realised his questioning was disproving his point. QC2 ate me for breakfast. One out of two ain't bad!

It's been driving sleet here for hours. No danger of anything settling I don't think but the heavens are well and truly open!

Went to the carol service at DS school this evening and it was beautiful. You can tell you're a mum when you well up at a Christmas carol. DS wasn't even singing, he was sat next to me.

Trying to actually Google for and locate a can recycling place that allegedly parts with hard cash for empty cans took ages..... got a load to offload, so have to see if the reality of visiting proves they really do pay cash .... it used to be a 40 mile round trip, so was never worth doing it as the fuel would cost more, but I'm within 10 miles of it tomorrow anyway, so it's only a 20 mile trip out of my way.
