I've ridden pillion once in my life. That's it.
I had a motorbike when I was younger and amazingly, found it easier to pass my test on the bike than in a car....finally gave it up when now ex hubby came off his moped and injured himself quite badly plus a fall down the stairs for me made it difficult to turn my head round to check what was behind me and made it incredibly painful to ride because of the jolting of the bike.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

When I was at school, a couple of the classrooms had the white boards (most def not smart boards...this was the 1980's!), hated it as I couldn't blooming read off of a white board, especially when the teachers insisted on using green pens!
Youngest can't read off the smart boards...he has now been diagnosed as having Irlens which explains it.We made it! I have grave doubts about importing peanuts to feed the birds with, especially as there is an environmentally friendly alternative. I have grown some sun flowers this year, and I have kept the seed heads to hang up for the birds to eat in January/February. (I have also kept some seeds to sow next year.) Incidentally, we tried eating the seeds ourselves, and they are not great, but I think the birds will go for them.
I'm sorry to be judgemental, and I know that people get great pleasure from their bird feeders, which is why I suggested the sun flower alternative. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

You using windows? Why not sort the pictures by date? Right click the folder, and select Arrange icons by Modified.
That's in XP. No idea about Win 7, but there's bound to be a way to do it.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I think its a good point. Our sunflowers are already out by the feeder and th birds couldn't give a fig
. I also put mixed seed and corn out and meal worms, which are more popular.

Especially when the peanuts are really feeding this:
There I was, sitting at the kitchen table, trying to reconcile a set of accounts dating back up to 3 years; suddenly there was some sort of kerfuffle just outside the window.
The attempt to zap the greater spotted woodpecker had obviously failed and Mrs Sparrowhawk proceeded to pace up and down the balustrade that stops people falling off the terrace, less than 10 ft from the window. Close up that yellow eye looks really evil. Eventually climbed onto the teak bench and tried to spook something out of the over-grown ivy, before flying off to poke about in the hawthorn hedge.
Her mate, on his visit, had better luck and got a blue tit. However it was inside the ball of a ball feeder (one with a wire mesh globe over the peanut feeder to keep out squirrels and pigeons).
With the tit in the grip of two sets of talons, with a wire bar in between, it took a lot of flapping and pulling before the penny dropped, and the realisation dawned that "letting go with one foot" would solve the problem
The male is 2/3rds the size of the female and a grey blue colour.chewmylegoff wrote: »drinking water instead, it's free (sort of). saved you a headache and a load of money.
My water is costing £1.20 a tonne, or per 1,000 litres if you are into "freight tonnes", yours is probably more expensive.
We have now got to the stage where using the washing machine costs more in water than (economy 7) electricity, and we really are spending a penny or three. My first tip picked up on MSE, posted in the housing board by Lynzpower, was that squeezing the toilet roll - so its oval shape not a perfect round, encourages people to tear off 2 sheets at a time rather then 3!
Don't know how anyone worked it out, but it does work.
When I was at school the toilets had a roll holder that could not spin through 360 degrees. Very annoying and probably when I became a sit and fold user.0 -

I've now managed to delete the pics on th camera. I think I'm using picassa for photos....it akes a sugestion and I go with it.
Now I'm locked out so can't get in to snap til later...but I can hear ''tap tap tap'' and I could walk round and look through the winow, but I'd rather wait.
I think it will take a LONG while, because they are saving the laths/lathes0 -

Posh alert --- Cheese Room
We're goig to keep calling it the cheese room when its the kitchen.
We also have a ''Cake house'' (well, a wall) which we call coach houe because other wise it confuses people, but we might call it the cake house again (my guess is it was called coach house before cake house originally)
(edit: cake is what cows eat. Pooh dh was over the moon horty after we arrived when a lorry arrived, knocked on the door and said ''2 tonnes of organic dairy cake for you, sign here''....I ran though and told them to tke it next door but dh was really excited thinking it was two tonnes of cream cake. someties its like living with a six year old0
