LIR, have you thought about one of those shredder things?
I have been researching them online. I have a huuuge amount of trees and shrubs etc that need some serious pruning but being slap bang in the middle of a town a bonfire with the debris isn't really a viable option. A supply of free mulch is an attractive bonus.
Has anyone got a shredder?
Advice and recommendations actively sought:)
yes we have thought of one, but not for this job. Pyromania is well and truely set it now. We want to burn, burn, burn!
we've abandoned windows and front door for the joy of burning stuff. And the panic of hosing the surrounding area to prevent spread.
The other good news is that as a result we can reach some plum trees we couldn't reach before:D0 -
I cleared maybe 1m x 1m today and still not done. My hatred for willow tree is increasing exponentially.
Garden still a mess and watched too much Dexter. hubby did a roast for the hottest day of the year so far. I do wonder....0 -

Living in America you mean, surely? It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I have a Russian vine that I bought for a quid to cover the back wall of the (former) old stables at the back of my house. It has now covered almost every tree and shrub in the rear quarter of the garden and is proving impossible to get rid off.
It is in full bloom and looks really pretty.
I am seriously tempted to put down weedkiller and just kill everything in that section of the garden offRetail is the only therapy that works0 -

Is it possible to hire one for a day, rather than buy one? I know someone with a large overgrown garden & they're talking about doing loads to it. Seems much better for them to hire their machinery.I cleared maybe 1m x 1m today and still not done. My hatred for willow tree is increasing exponentially.

Dexter is ace TV. In line with previous posts, I was gutted when it was taken off terrestrial, as I loved watching it late night. Same for 24.It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Someone you don't want round your house; definitely don't want near your power tools or any plastic sheeting you may have for poly-tunnels; not one of the nice people...
I can't watch more than one a week as they traumatise me.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Dexter is an American TV series about a serial killer with moral values. It really is one of the best things on TV
