I just shout at the Ref mainly...

    "He's holding on !!!!"....."He's off his feet !!!!" ......

..........I'm normally told to shut the !!!! up, and end up watching the 2nd half from the car park :o

I think that's the golden rule that must never be broken - that you never tell the referee his job. Which is hard, because sometimes it just comes out of your mouth.

I'd better get ready, I guess. I hate going to new places by myself. Really hate it.

I don't suppose that is free software by any chance - I was wondering what knocking down the 3 bed detached at the top of the road and replacing it with a 5 bed would cost.

I've got a fancy estimating software package now, so I can plug numbers in before we build anything. What I'm frightened by is architects fees!

Slippers are dangerous for me, I always end up falling down the blooming stairs so have now decided it is better to have colder feet than beggered up (more than usual) back and shoulders :D

Then we need to invent you some with built in crampons.

Seriously though, there must be something that you can wear that you don't fall down the stairs in. I used to have a wooden staircase at old house and had to have "grippy" slippers there, but you should be able to find something. Cold feet are never nice to have as they set you up for the rest of you to be freezing.

I thought everyone on the internet was just a made up aspect of someone's deep psychological issues - I know I am...

I was wondering whether you wanted to drop by one day so you could give your opinion on the the extension for the nice people but it will be difficult if I don't really exist...

Careful now michaels, you offer and I may take you up on that...

re slippers...sue, for the same reason I never wear mine on the stairs. My slippers live byt the foot of the stair case and I slip in and out of them by the stairs. (I do have a pair upstairs but rarely wear them).

anyone prepared to help me brainstorm a very importnat thing....dining room curtains? I can link the paint colour.

We're thinking of getting that room's building works done in the next few weeks, (builders reckon if we want they could do it before cristmas) ...involves RSJs and a wall down, quite besides all the other stuff....rewire, new plumbing to go into the walls instead of over them....

I could be making curtains now if I could decide on the fabric.....

Yes, £800 kind of free. You need plans first really, it's proper detailed estimating. Links into Jewson and whatnot for pricing and uantities.

Five bed, how big in metres? Who's building it, project managing etc? To what standard? I'll tell you what Homebuilding and Renovating says. That's free.

I don't know - 150m2? The sort of built to look like its posh but isn't really standard that builders do.
    I think....
