    .

I know. Doesn't exactly trip off the tongue; many people expect a familiar whole number like 45 or 60.
Or like the old pub quiz favourite- name the two US states with an X in their name (without looking them up!) :D

''removed'', but I had to really think about ''removed' then went to feed my horses. (polo ponies are often called after states and I have one of them, removed)

The other week I was wondering if Yorkshire was represented in American place names..I can't remember what the conversation that lead me to that was. It must have taken me ten minutes before slapping my head. I swear it was the New Amsterdam thing that through me...kidding myself that I'm not broken, just old fashioned :o:o:rotfl::rotfl:

edit: removed on request so that you can all have a go. :)

edit again: I should know these btw, because it was taught at school when I was small. Like you guys probably all know all the UK counties and county towns. :) I think I'd get county towns to a list of counties, but would struggle to make a complete list of counties I think.

I knew one right away, and had to ponder a bit on the second, but probably a bit too long to be succesful in a pub quiz ;)

No, The Gambia is not a US state :rotfl:

The Gambia is a cat. :) And doesn't have an x in it. :D which is also funny because The Gambia is not a kissy cat....she still won't let me tough her without hissing, but comes running up to me for food. Cupboard tolerance.

Slippers are dangerous for me, I always end up falling down the blooming stairs so have now decided it is better to have colder feet than beggered up (more than usual) back and shoulders :D

My sisters swear by those slipper socks with bobbles on the bottom.

I don't like them, they are those annoying mobile socks that move around on the feet....so heel ends up on the top of the foot and so on.
  • I feel cross and sulky. I've inherited another cold from my darling Isaac, and feel scratchy eyed, snotty, headachy, sore throaty, etc. And not much like going outside and playing netball!

To save people trouble, the other one is new mexico. I found a list and searched for the x. Otherwise I'd still be at it.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Anyone tried one of these new fangled Toasted Toast sandwiches....

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/today/hi/today/newsid_9640000/9640773.stm

....I might try one for lunch

(plus some cheese.............and maybe some Ham)
No, I saw it on the news and found it utterly ridiculous. They invited people to phone in if they could find a cheaper sandwich ... and I thought "sugar sandwiches", but wouldn't waste my genius on them by letting them know.

WE all use 'crocs' as slippers
I do that, but I do find they randomly "jam" on vinyl flooring ... nearly leading to head-first tumbles if I weren't no agile. They're also lethal on wet slate, LETHAL!! Mind you, I'm taking about fake ones (£4-5/pair from cheapo shops), so no idea if the real ones are any different, but I doubt it.
