I'm not sure why "appears". Maybe "bereavement" is being used to describe a psychological state rather than a fact about circumstances. As in the report for the insurance claim, in which the psychologist says DS is suffering from bereavement rather than PTSD. DS has been given an assignment (tapping into his enthusiasm for creating lego animations - he's to create an animation about how he envisaged his life in 10 years' time) and we're to go back in 6 weeks. Then the psychiatrist will decide what kind of therapy he should have and which therapist he should see.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

Doozer, I authorise you to buy a keyboard to plug into your laptop.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    6 weeks? Why so long?

I know a few people who look like thunderbirds...particularly around the mouth/chin/jaw. I find it quite endearing.

I use BTyahoo for my email and my phone for my appointments/reminders and notes. I used to use my head for the appointments/social events but when the boys appointments started building up, it all got very confused.

Ex hubby has informed me he has spent a fair bit on the boys for Christmas today, there is no way I can compete and my pressies are going to look completely woeful compared to his.

I got so stressed, I just blitzed the kitchen....and now I can't move.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    .

what means more to the boys Sue...Christmas gifts or the love and attention they get from you when they need it, when they want a parent?

I'm guessing whatever you think there is no 'competition' that he can win.

I hope he pays his correct share of support - nothing annoys me more than people buying extravagant presents whilst not meeting their everyday commitments and expecting everyone to think how generous they are.

I agree michaels. Sue's boys sound like they've got their heads screwed on though. They know they have the most extravagant gift of all - a loving mother - and for sure at least the oldest one will know exactly that his father is trying to "buy" them.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I think they would prefer his attention at regular intervals during the year rather than presents.
