It was a beautiful day here. I spent the afternoon stripping down my bicycle and cleaning all the grit out of the bearings.
Off on a bush walk tomorrow am followed by more bike repair.
What have you done to your poor bike? Sounds like a lot of repairs needed!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Just back from shopping with kids. Got present for a birthday party that DS is going to later this afternoon, and birthday presents for the kids to give to MIL. We are seeing MIL & FIL for lunch today - just about to set off out now. They've come down to this part of the country to visit LNE's grave - it's the anniversary tomorrow.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Sounds like a very tough weekend Lydia - best of luck. Hope DS is OK?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Thanks NDG. He's much the same as usual. Just got the report from his initial psych appointment through the post. Am feeling vindicated because it is saying very similar things to what I've been saying for ages:Summary
DS is an 11 year old boy who appears to have had some significant bereavement in his life with ultimate effect on his psychosocial functioning. To anyone who is not very close to him, he appears to be functioning very well, but really in some other situations, especially when demands of social interactions are being placed upon him, he easily goes into anxiety mode and sometimes becomes totally introverted.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? What are they suggesting is the way forward now Lydia? I hope seeing in laws brings as much joy for the little ones as sadness. What a year you've all had.

Isaac helped me this morning, while OH went off to let the bed-installers in to the new place. Then he came back and took Isaac swimming, because it takes twice as long with Isaac helping as it does if I get on with it.
are you moving this weekend? Have you slept there yet?
you must all be very excited now!0 -

Lydia, your DS sounds like me at that age. I'd say I turned out all right but I'm not sure I did! I'm glad you've got professionals on the case, I'm sure he'll be just fine

about the same time I went off coffee I also lost the taste for wine. I've just poured and am enjoying the first glass of wine I've had for a little while and its nice. I wonder if I might try a coffee in the morning?
