Not spotted anyone with Iceland coloured red, has anyone been (as a tourist), as we are thinking of going next year for a short break.

No, DH went on work breifly. He wants to go for a break as there are springs meant to be really good for skin.

Icelandic horses are good fun....they have a comparatively smooth running gait...a different pace from those ''normal'' horses have usually, I found them great fun. (edit, that's confusing, I've ridden icelandic horses in UK, they are quite popular....and very small!)

We were staying in Kololi and going on a one day trip into the southern bit of Senegal. Highlight of the trip was a boat ride to a little island with an "animist village". So the guide explaining us about animism, that they believe objects have spirits and this and that.
We arrived at the island and it all looked quite primitive...local women beating cannabis plants and stuff, until a little kiddie appeared carrying a little electronic music box with the song "MA YA HII... MA YA HAA" blaring out of it. That was a bit of an anticlimax. :)

That video wont play in the UK.

It was 18 years ago when i was there and i remember stroking "Charlie" the crocodile but I've no plans to go back. :A

The map doesn't show Antigua or Seychelles and you need a set of binoculars to spot Mauritius.

I'd like to visit Japan and the far East in general.

Maybe better because it's a bloody annoying song that sticks in your head forever.

I'm on a US IP at work, probably why. Strange, didn't know youtube content was location restricted.

The group was called ozone and it was a hit 7-8 years ago I think. But don't look it up.

Me too, Japan is fairly high up on places i'd like to get to. My other half has been talking about it recently. A long trip to Japan may be the first big treat we go for when the mortgage is cleared (2years 6 months and counting).

Like you, the far east in general does appeal, I have freinds working in Korea and must take them up on the offer of a visit before they return back home.

We went to the Philippines 5 years ago, and I loved it, really nice people (very good standard of English - so makes it easy as a tourist), and fantastic scenery. Although linking it back to Japan, a lot of the historic buildings in Manila were flattened by the Japanese in WW2.

We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

You've been to lots of places that I haven't visited.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Not really that accurate as I've never been to Scotland or N. Ireland and only been to New York and Florida in America. Guessing that the part of Yugoslavia I went to is now Croatia. The whole of France gets coloured on the basis of visiting Paris, similarly Spain is red for going to Marbella.

Denmark twice, once for a business trip and once for a speedway GP, Italy once for a speedway GP, Czech republic once for a speedway GP, France several times - booze cruises, travelling through and Disneyland, Belgium several times (they used to have a ferry running from the docks here), Netherlands on a school trip, Ireland as a 5 year old, Spain with my nan when I was 14.

And that is that! Was supposed to go to Tunisia for my honeymoon but ended up with 3 days in Belgium and 4 days near Manchester instead.

missk and fc, have you ever been to Choccywoccydoodah? DH and I are planning a day trip to Brighton. We're looking to include a tea and cake at Choccywoccy and a burger at Grubs, which reminds him of his student days. Last time I was there I had a veggie burger with peanut butter and chilli sauce, which sounds disgusting but was yummy. Hopefully we'll also do a lot of walking it off in between!

YUM! Choccywoccy is awesome. If you don't even make it there for tea and cake, then just ogle the creations.

Not sure I would go to Grubs (think there's only place on the London/Lewes Road now) better to stick to Uncle Sam's.
