It'll probably turn up on BBC News 24 now this Greece stuff's winding down.

Photo tweeted from somebody in a field at the scene http://p.twimg.com/AdcMN22CIAEYehG.jpg
    And another: http://p.twimg.com/AdcOhAqCEAER1YF.jpg

Of course it's dark, so photos are !!!!.

I'll keep my posts in here... no point creating new posts all the time, cluttering up the NP thread with non-nice stuff.

I do have freeview... but the channels seem to be very limited. The numbers go from 309 to 795 with nothing in between. So there's a lot missing. I don't understand TVs.... I come from the generation that were amazed when [a] it went colour we got a 4th channel [c] TV stopped shutting down at 11pm.

I just pressed the button lots of times and counted the channels, there are 68.... most of which are closed or not available, but it goes through 68 different numbers.

Unless you have upgraded your aerial to a digital aerial in the last 5-10 years you probably wont get all the channels but a retune will get you up to date as much as possible.

That's the difference between an internet dinner party and a real life one.

Nah, the difference is that I don't get invited to real life ones!

May be not the time to discuss but I was thinking we seem to get fewer big mway pile-ups than a few years ago - I can't beleive the roads or vehicles are much safer so I guess it may be a framing/reversion to mean thang.

It's on the BBC 24 now.

It's considered it's weather-related. Appalling weather conditions, rain/fog just before the accident.

And they're still saving "several believed died" but no figures as they're just guessing a bit based on what's obvious when you're actually there.

18 mile stretch of the motorway is closed.

23:21 Fire Service live on the phone: 25-30 casualties, 10 "life changing injuries". "Some people may have lost their lives in this incident". "No-one I have spoken to can recall an incident on this scale in this area". 15 fire appliances who have been putting out fires on the vehicles and cut people out; police are now busy trying to lessen the tailback on the motorway.

"Why are the fires so fierce" they asked: "Haven't had a report of anything toxic..." "At least two of the vehicles that were on fire were articulated vehicles so they will have had a lot of fuel on those".

23:33 Fires are out/being damped down, but they still need to keep the area cool "in case" and the road has lots of fuel spills etc.

23:34 Majority of casualties have been removed from the scene to hospitals.

Actually road accidents have reduced a lot, but sadly there do still occur.

Heart goes out to all the family's involved.
