plus, requires a professional to check it works and might not be able to arrange that for a few weeks at this time of year....
would any of that invalidate it....is it not buyer beware in this sort of situation?:o
edit: just checked...very little info in ad....it doesn't say spares/repair but it also doesn't actually say it works in the ad or working order or anything.
I wouldn't expect too much...
That is very cheap for a working flux capacitor!
Joking aside you need to know all this sort of info before bidding and especially on ebay.
Is the item something you can buy elsewhere, new or second hand?0 -

Go on LIR, live a little and go for it. I have (touch wood) not had any real ebay disasters despite spending many thousands and ifyou look on the ebay board on here mostly it is sellers grumbling that buyers can take the p and they have no rights as ebay/paypa; always side with the buyer.
Even if you win if you don;t get satisfactory responses from the seller you can always just not payI think....0 -
Well, at least it's not a piggin' birdy lamp fitting ... as they don't work/not, they simply hang.
What're you buying??
I guess you can't say here though0 -

thanks.
Dh just went to bed, but we decided not to, but with some regret. There are no other bids.
Its just too much cash ATM to risk....primarily because of the expense commuting is having atm.
Speaking of which, dh has also decided to let the place in London go.Atm its money for nothing, (could have paid for this with last months rent or next months
.)
edit: eurostar for friday is horrific.....we stupidly, own fault...didn't look ahead for what we're public holidays and next week its a ponte so stupid not to come home, but had we known we would have booked in advance.......think some trains have sold out even.0 -

the bridy things were lamps...so they should have worked. For the £350 or whatever you got a lamp AND a shade. Bargain!:D:o0 -

If time allows, you can just email the seller and say "the ad doesn't say it's working. Is it working?".
If it's an auction, you can get auctionsniper to put a bid in for you. Save you getting up in the small hours. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Very timely! Good item here about a man with a phone in his arm

we did ask, earlier in the week, seller said yes. Then an MSE chum asked, and he said he'd never used it not that it worked or not. My guess is seller doesn't know one way or the other?0 -

finally my small one woman campaign fought with lacklustre occasional tongue in cheek postings a couple of times a year is listened to.
SUCCESS!
now, just the cashless society and cat flap operation by the same chip and I'm an almost happy woman. I'll start on bettering ebay after that.0
