I for one would be flattered :)

Cold has now caught up with me (builders turned off immersion fuse yesterday and forgot to turn it on again so luke warm shower this AM and even though I have not lifted anything today or even twisted awkwardly my back has gone into spasm making any movement pretty much agony. And DD2 has picked up the vomiting bug going round her school while DW is getting emotional blackmail from her big son who has had a more than generous pay out for his car that someone drove in to but can not be bothered to sort himself out a replacement. Also still no sign of the builder sorting out the boiler but I am in no state to confront him about it.

Maybe now is the time to take a well-earned bargain break weekend at a local hotel? Plus some Ibuprofen to relieve the back inflammation?

Got to be a good chance you won't see him again today.

Just got home. The shower screen is up. :D So is the mirror next to it. :) The huge gash in the wall in my bedroom (where the pipework for the shower is) has been filled in with plaster. :) Several rooms have curtain poles/tracks. :) My bedroom door opens in the correct direction. :) The wall over the half landing is the same colour as the ones either side of it. :)

Hoping for good news soon on the rest of the curtain poles/tracks, the hole in the laminate floor, and the bathroom radiator.

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    No, work related spends.

But just wondering how people get used to dealing with money in such large amounts without bothering them.

    It's strange.

It's somebody else's money? Easy-peasy! The real trouble occurs when they start wanting little kick-backs for spending that money. It starts with the office manager ordering coffee and keeping the free gift that comes with it. And it ends with this little story from my cousin, who was in the oil business.

"Why does <tiny country> have 7 oil refineries, when 2 would do? So that the president could take a kick-back on the other 5."

This one's a game against the clock as much as anything else. It is evil.

These are map games from Ordnance Survey to put counties in a map. You can choose England, Wales, Scotland, etc...
