I'm wondering where anything I got from uni/college is too...a bit. If OI don't find anything I'm not left cross and confused about what to do with it.

Good luck with your renovations, especially with the UFH. One word of advice with UHF and a GSHP is that they only work efficiently at low temperatures (low in comparison with traditional radiators) and so you need to make sure that your house is very well insulated or the heat loss will be faster than the heat gain.

Cram as much insulation into your house as you possibly can!! :)

    thanks.

re low temps, do you think 12 celcius is an unreasonable expectation? One of the problems we find is that official guides are based on a minimum of wanting to heat to 18, where as 18 is what we'd hope for only when people are here and the fires all going. :D

Insulation is actually the thing I've been sorting this week, we can't have any down until october, (BAts) but I've arranged for it to go in. In the ''vaulted'' ceilings like the kitchen we've opted for thicker insulation on the specification and having just the major beams showing. The rooms with the reall high ceilings will have the underflor and woodburners (and one occasional fireplace) so making sure they are the easiest to efficiently heat...and keep warm. fwiw I think it will also look better.

We had a demo class as part of our street party - looked extremely exhausting and a bit rude tbh ;)

12 degrees sounds freezing to me - we do 18 at night and 21.5 in the day...

We are going to have 'weather compensation control' for our radiators (not that keen on underfloor) which controls the water temperature in the rads depending on the outside temperature and thus how much heat input is required n(Cold outside radiators are hot, cool outside they are only warm)

I'm pretty sure my gcse certs are lost....or well filed. That's the thing, I don't really care, I feel as if someone else did a lot of that stuff, different lifetime.

No idea where my certificates are (probably filed away in the loft) but I still have my results on the computer print out thing that we had sent to us (we didn't go to collect them back them, we had to rely on the good old post office to deliver), now looking very old and tea stained.

I do have my ECDL, Counselling Certificate (level 1) and Certificate of Legal studies proudly displayed on my hallway wall though, along with my reaching goal weight from Weightwatchers (now defunct!), eldest's rifle or whatever certificate (Air Cadets) and his first aid certificate.

I'm hoping my Diploma in English law will be joining my Cert. of Legal studies in the next 12 months, then closely followed by my honours degree (fingers very tightly crossed!)
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Well lucky I took the train to Wales:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-south-east-wales-14288312

Do I always get the nutters on trains?

Opposite was sat an OCD anorexic. First she mopped everything in sight - tray, chair arms, window etc with tissue dampened with bottled water, then she carefully opened a box of mange touts and proceeded to nibble each one to extract the tiny peas inside, leaving the pods aside. Then she went to the buffet car and bought a black coffee and a packet of nuts. She counted the nuts and carefully nibbled at 7 of them, followed half an hour later by another 7. Then resealed the bag and put it away.

Further down the carriage was a guy who kept shouting "I'm on the train on my mobile, can you hear me?" into his phone - whenever the train went in a tunnel.
