It works for me.
It works for you because you can do the technical bit of the computer. For me that just induces a deaf blind panic.0 -

They would be crap...
But LIR... find out if you can get the rights reverted... please... pretty please, do it.
The world has changed with books. The epublishing figures I quoted were based on the new world, books you put up yourself.
On a self published ebook, royalties are 70% of gross, compared to 7% on a print book. The figures I quoted were based on between 10 and 20 sales a week, worldwide, for a book sold at $3.99.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Talking of books (& the economy):
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-15149546It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

The no royalties contract was not mine. I have no idea what my little bits were done as, I have no record for it. DH's dad has royalties, I just don't know what they are these days.
I take your wrord for it with ebooks, and clearly see that's where the future is, but I see that like a dodo bird...its not a future that includes me....I just can't compute ...literally.:D:o0 -
I just had a crank call....recorded voice message saying ''this is Death, I'm coming to get you. Goodbye.'' I bet that could really upset some people.0

Er, if you can't do the computer stuff, you just hire someone to do it for you. Simples. (It costs between £50-100 per book. Covers cost more than the techie bit, which is not much harder than putting something into manuscript format.).“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Anyone knowledgeable about ETFs?
Looking at iShares MSCI UK Index Fund EWU. It's currently trading at a 1.7% discount to NAV. Average is a modest premium of around 0.4%. Isn't that a mega arbitrage opportunity? Why is it so big?
Previous Close $14.48
Closing NAV 10/03/2011 $14.73
Premium/Discount 10/03/2011 -1.70%
Is NAV calculated according to close of business prices in the UK, but the "previous close" price reflects the price traded some hours later in New York?
(Figures according Charles Schwab, by the way.)No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

It would probably upset people more if they didn't have an Irish Wolfhound to protect them.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Not sure enough people would be interested in mine to pay for that
Its worth thinking about, I'm not arguing with you for the sake of it, or because I disagree with you....I just think specifically for me I'd be surprised if I could make a worthwhile profit from it:o The buzz of a book for me, with low profit would be the old fashioned format with a cover and stuff...then I wouldn't mind not making a profit so much.I know this is all very old fashioned, and rather defeatist, but its where I am atm.
I'm very hopeful you'll able to retire on it though0
