See .... they can plead all they like ... we know who is posh
Posher than a spare fridge though would be a lake.
Spare fridge is posh, spare freezer for a smallholder is sensible. If only to store a years supply of meat.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

I have to do something with the venison left in the freezer, I can't even remember when it went in there, but it feels like ages ago.
I'm even considering defroting a couple of legs and giving them to the dogs :eek:0 -
Only because we moved and the old one wouldn't fit in the gap in the kitchen, so we bought one that did fit and kept the old as a spare. The spare that is 10+ years old and suffered by being in the garage fir 5 years as against the smart American f/f that has developed a fault.
Now phoned the manufacturer and they have a known fault with this make and they will fix it free, but they can 't say when.
Er .. it's not a hotpoint quadrio is it....?
It's an American-style four-door fridge freezer with a problem in the wiring of the door hinge. Ours went bang in January. Were tipped off not to get it repaired but get it replaced. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
its been another beautiful evening.
Dog dog is getting really confident on four legs again now. After the chooks had gone away we ''did the perimetre'' because its been too hot to go to the dog walking spot in the heat of the day, and after her run dog-dog didn't resort to three legs.
big dog didn't sprint much though, she's too hot. and my cat who goes a wandering said it was too hot too, both the cats lay on the spare bed that is a home to all the laundry all stretched out and purring manaically in the sun coming through the window.0 -

I walked our land tonight too, after picking most of the squash, which are less numerous this year, but ridiculously large.
My ten minute mission, to count the sheep.
The sun was slipping behind the eucalyptus trees, and there was that haze which we've missed most of summer, painting the distant valleys & hills in muted shades of blue.
....But, despite the lack of a chilly wind, I wasn't fooled for a minute, because there were no swallows. They've gone.:(0 -

I played two games of netball tonight, instead of one (filling in for another team) and I am absolutely boiling, still! It was very warm (-:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

I feel like PN. Indeed, on PN's behalf, you lot are posh.
Some similarities with silvercar here.
We have 3 fridge freezers.A 50cm a 55cm and a 60cm.
When we bought this house we orignally intended to bring the old one and put it in the utility room. (We were having a new built in one in the new kitchen).
I'd remembered it was a "narrow" f/f and so got the gap in the utility room made at 50cm. Oh dear. Our narrow f/f was a 55cm one. Idiot boy here didnt measure it.
No way was I throwing it away (a good Bosch) so it went in the shed and we got another one for the utility.
Come party time the three f/fers are worth their weight in gold.
Would now make sure I had this many in the next place. Just for parties really otherwise could live with two. Oh dear, that really does sound quite ridiculous. But hey it works for us.0
