I bet lydia's solar panels are paying her a fortune today if her weather is like mine.
Day 8, and the best so far: 17.434kWh generated, which earns me £7.82.It started off beautiful here, but clouded over later, so I'm still nowhere near the 27kWh that michaels was talking about, but really not at all bad for September.

Do tell us more when and if you can. It sounds exciting. Are you likely to have lots of bearded guys with stripey jumpers descending on your property with small trowels?lemonjelly wrote: »I'm glad someone does. I continue to fight to supress the urge to kill...
I'm being facetious, of course.
I really do need to post more details in t'other place so you actually know what I'm moaning about. Can anyone pm me a link please?
Just keep suppressing that urge...
See you over at the other place. It can be a good place to vent, and of course we're all very nice people to vent to.
Hope you're OK.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

.
I will when I can. I'm very torn between wanting ''it'' to be here, because it would be cool ...and I can change the name of the house....and it not to be here, because of the hassle.
Trowels I don't know, they want to walk around in a couple of weeks to see first. tbh, there is so much 20th century crud that its hard to imagine the possibility.0 -
So... you need to be thinking in terms of a "Themed Visitor Attraction", barn/tea shop, small museum, workshops for hire by craftspeople for courses.... some eco pods round the cake, to rent out to people attending workshops and/or holidaymakers, swan pedalos for hire (well, need to rethink that now as they'd need to be period-themed) ..... car parking ... ice cream van ..... this could be big....
In the meantime, work out a car park/route for "viewing the dig" and charge £5/person including tea/cake.0 -
Does someone have cake on their mind?!
How are things with you PN - any more organised?PasturesNew wrote: »So... you need to be thinking in terms of a "Themed Visitor Attraction", barn/tea shop, small museum, workshops for hire by craftspeople for courses.... some eco pods round the cake, to rent out to people attending workshops and/or holidaymakers, swan pedalos for hire (well, need to rethink that now as they'd need to be period-themed) ..... car parking ... ice cream van ..... this could be big....

Oh, fair enough... so, what do you mean by upgraded historically?
Grade II to Grade II*?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I have this image of Lydia, sunglasses on, laying on her sun lounger, sippin a cocktail with a big smile on her face.
It must be worth it for the feel good factor alone :j0 -

That we can live with.
I have a friend who has a thing on her land which is grade 1 listed. Its kinda odd...because it just looks like a lump of rock to me. The house etc are also not listed there, so its not a bother to her. That would be a pretty decent outcome too.
Anyway, all this worry and it might well be over the road or something.dh could go in and do some archaeology more interesting than camp coffee and old style monster much packets and it wouldn't be a bother to us! I suppose there are pluses and minuses to everything.

With Grade II*, planning permission etc is more of a pain - you need to get both the Council and English Heritage to sign things off....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
