When do they break up? Isaac finished last Friday.

Ours break up today.......youngest def needs it, his peak flows have been on a downward trend this last week as it is just too much for his body to cope with. He needs a good rest and relax.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Anyhows, I've been a little ill recently. TBH I feel a fraud saying that when there are fighters like Daisy in the world, but there you go.

Had a couple of games of golf & fresh air did me the world of good. Happily, the weather forecasters were off with their predictions. Hoping this weekend will be nice!:)

fc123 the reading is over a period of time, not just recent. Probably over a 3-4 month period. Part of the issue is that I have so many books unread!:o There are times when you need to read something trashy, to clear out the mind a bit. It is a bit like tv - there's a time for panorama, and a time for fools & horses.

PN, every good wish to you. Like many others here I am glad to hear you are getting some support now.

Oh, and I finally have toms & beans on my plants!:j
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Lj, sorry you have been feeling a bit rough. Did you get a chance to see Dynamo's new show on Watch? I'd never heard of him but really enjoyed it.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Not if you work in a college surrounded by teachers...;)

I'm sure teachers never photocopy anything for personal use...:o

The randomness is a wierd one. For example, I've opened accounts with WBBS who check me out online, with no need for any ID or similar.

What are they checking (or not checking:eek:)?

I've not had too much trouble with online applications thus far tbh. If it becomes a pain, I just quit the application. If they're going to make it too hard, then I'll go elsewhere. The upside is that it is a lot more time effective than booking an appointment and going in to a branch.

The thing is, if you've had a permanent address, steady job etc for a reasonable time, there's usually enough of an electronic footprint for banks to check your ID. If you're like my DW was, with only a small presence in databases, it can be harder.

My DW had a Ruffler Bank account which was fine for a few years. Good interest rate too. They even sent her little gifts; an umbrella being one of them. Then, Ruffler was taken over by Aldermore, who soon started asking DW to prove who she was. When DW didn't respond, they got quite stroppy. DW sent them the required docs and pointed out she'd had money in there for years....and where was the Aldermore umbrella? Never got an answer to that. :rotfl:

What a day ... saved one death by gassing before 8.30 ... and that's no joke. Fire not turned off properly, no flame......but still hissing :( One old snoozing on the sofa, been like that 30 minutes... no harm done.

The M People came; sorted out the meds confusion that was going on (no idea what does what, what's to actually be taken/ignored and some structure into the pill taking of the day).

I have two websites knocked out almost entirely due to malware attacks, not really had time to even think about that clean up operation, commissioned some expensive security consultants to sort it out for me.

Then it's just been jobs and chores and stuff to do and leaping about on demand all day :)

I had a tesco credit card in my own right - DW then applied for one with me as additional cardholder and they need ed certified copies of everything for me even though they weren't advancing me credit and had already quite happily given me credit before...
    I think....

Sounds horrific. Hope tomorrow is better.

Don't worry about the gas. All those old stories of people dying by inhaling gas from ovens/gas fires etc belong to the era when we were on coal-gas, which contained carbon monoxide. The natural gas we have now is harmless, and breathing it won't have done anybody any harm. Even the nasty smell is artificially added to make it easier to detect leaks. Of course, it's not at all harmless if it catches fire or explodes, and theoretically you could suffocate if it filled the room so completely that there wasn't any air left, but it's not poisonous like the old kind.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

Totally agree. But an explosive mixture is probably around 30% gas, and we've seen pictures of Ronan Point, so we know that a gas explosion can literally bring the house down.

You can get flame out cookers now, and in fact all new ones have to be. It's time the gas fires in your house were removed, at great expense and with many protests from the olds. I am sure they are condemnable if you let a gas safe man near them.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
