You've seen pictures of Davesnave? Are any of the rest of us allowed to see pictures of anyone? .
I've left a message at the other place, on Wheezy's thread, which doesn't seem to be getting much traffic.....
Meanwhile, here is a picture I've already posted elsewhere this a.m. He doesn't look much like me, but as you can see, he can turn heads!0 -
RIP washing machine.
I have a dilemma. Its broken.....its been sounding as if its going for a while and this week it did indeed die (I took too much interest recently in a washing machine thread, I br0oke its heart with my appliance !!!!!!). So, I need to buy a new machine...that's not the dilemma, I'm going for the which? recommended one...either an LG or miele when I've done a trawl for prices....but....is it worth getting the machine here looked at to see if it can be repaired for animal stuff. ATM hiuman and animal goes through the same machine...(I hope one day to get an bigger, industrial washing machine for the animal stuff, then I could wash horse rugs for my neighbourhood, and do my dog washing in a load or two, not the six in currently takes....atm our big stuff has to go away for between £16-24 quid a time once a yearish. (not a lot of that, thank goodness, and none this year.) Also, the dogs stuff means the washing machine needs a thorough clean afterwards each time....an icky job, but essential before putting human stuff back in. I hate mixing the two tbh. current machine...Bosch, about 10 years old.
oh, dilemma over...I think dh just broke a bit off the existing one.0 -

Follow them on twitter and you get some big names for £15 in a tiny venue (looks a bit like a miniature Ikea) when they're testing their material. Don't tell anyone else okay?
Not actually been there for comedy.
Go there for music sometimes. One of my favourites "The Counterfeit Stones" play there quite a lot.
Got a venue for comedy closer to home with some "big names" seen over the last few months including Greg Davies (fantastically funny) and Mark Watson (yep not bad).
For the "really big names" it's off to near lj in Wolv. (Jimmy Carr last year) or of course B'ham with loads of venues/comedians playing all the time.0 -

No idea without knowing what's wrong. If DH can't mend it himself I'd suggest you'd be better buying a second hand one for the animal stuff.
Possibly cheaper than a call out?0 -
This one's for LJ, and anyone else who's turned on by big, round, juicy things:
I couldn't bare to thank it but did it anyways, since you do growing stuff for a living and it should look good
Is there a secret stash of photos somewhere where everyone else knows what other NP look like?
lir: get a new one for people and secondhand industrial one for animal things?0 -

Davesnave, in your pictures you look younger than you are (so does your wife) that's extremely attractive.0 -
One more piece of the care jigsaw identified .... milkandmore .... looks like the perfect way to get regular food delivered to an old. No minimum delivery, 3 delivery days/week, no delivery charge.... trying to use bigger shops would involve mathematical gymnastics and minimum order levels. If your only need is for a loaf of bread twice a week, a bottle of milk twice a week, a small bunch of fruit twice a week and one random 'treat' (crisps/choc biscuits) then it'd be impossible to do it with £25 minimums, delivery slots to match and delivery charges.0

I think that is the best plan. ATM probably can't afford both I don't think, but will get a human one and let animal washing build up...maybe get a smaller one second hand for them to keep us going for a while, shame because if I could afford the bigger one it would be a business expence, not a personal one. I think for the industrial one I'll get a coin operated one.0 -
I think that's the first time I have bought a brand new appliance. Stressful and not terribly exciting. Still, it has a ten year guarantee, so hopefully it will be a while before I have to do that again.
Now I have to think about the fridge decision again...in time for next spring..I've moved all the tools out from the larder (which dh was usuing as a tool cupboard)so I can use that from now through the winterand the other washer.....
