Same with you lot from the same patch....its possible you have a person in common or a restaurant or a bar or a school......

I thought the nearest RL link would be to carolt. Then someone in her daughter's school died and I thought (with bad news travelling fast) one of my friends would know someone who knew someone.... but no-one did.

It is a nice thought though. Reminds me of sliding doors, which was on tv the other evening.

    I liked that film.

Watched Social Network this week. Great film to watch with teenagers.

    A non-fiction book recommendation:

The boy with the top-knot by Sathnam Sanghera.

    Very good read.

"A superbly observed account of his eccentric Asian upbringing in Wolverhampton. Now a successful columnist on The Times, Sanghera returns home to unravel his family’s problems and reconcile his traditional Asian roots with his flashy London lifestyle. In the process he discovers the truth about his father’s schizophrenia and why his mother won’t accept any English girlfriend of his. It is a funny and touching look at the experience of second-generation immigrants from both inside and outside the bubble"

Bit of a bloke thing to say, but here goes, I thought it was a very interesting film.
Went to watch the final Harry Potter film this week. Really enjoyed it. Loved the films nearly as much as the books (which/witch - geddit?:D - are absolutely ace books imo.)

One thing I will say is that I watched it in 3D & decided that the 3D business brought absolutely nothing to the film at all. I got all Mark Kermode about it all really.

Remaining old is now becoming ill old... currently awaiting a Doctor call out ... and I have no idea if it's attention seeking, stress/grief, or something really wrong... so I have to go and watch "in case".

Back in a few hours probably....

Best wishes PN. You know where we are.

Indeed, I wonder if any of you would understand me if we were to meet, what with me speaking black country!:D

I do a good welsh accent, more pronounced when I am drunk (not very often) or if I've been talking to family.

When the kids were younger and naughty I would threaten to put on a really strong accent in front of their friends.

Is this the reason davesnave isn't about?;)

Who says I'm not about? :p

I came here to wish Lydia party-smiley-015.gif

And as for our co ckerel, he won't crow till....ooohhhh 05.30 at the earliest, and then it will be in response to a couple of others on a neighbouring farm. He's a good boy and never starts anything, honest. :)

Right, back to the party celebrations, but as we've had guests and I'm exhausted, I hope no one will mind if I use a stunt double tonight...party-smiley-051.gif
