Thank you for the birthday wishes, everyone. It's been a good one in a low-key sort of way.lemonjelly wrote: »Reminds me of sliding doors, which was on tv the other evening.
I liked Sliding Doors when I first saw it, but it will always remind me of one of late-nearly-ex's more crashing mistakes. Right in the middle of his affair, when I was in a wretched state of suspicion about whether it was really over as he said it was (but it wasn't), he decided the DVD of Sliding Doors would be a good present for my birthday or Christmas or something, since he remembered that I'd liked it when we'd seen it some time previously. It never crossed his mind that I might not really want a film whose entire plot hung on the question of whether or not she caught her partner cheating. :rotfl:PasturesNew wrote: »Old crisis over. ETA just seen this Pastures. Glad for you. Hope you get some sleep now.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Recently I've felt separated from Earth by at least six degrees.... never mind actual people.0

I started to watch sliding doords on tv once but it didn't catch me and I got distracted and never did see it. A cousin by marriage is in it.
fwiw last night's interpretation of courgettes was a step too far. DH and I both feel wretched this morning. which is a problem: we've been planning on moving another pile of wood....a couple of tonnes I guess, from the garden to the barn.0 -
I've never met any of the NPs on here though I have met some wonderful people from MSE, particularly MumOfTwins and BlueMonkey who are both lovely in RL. I have however met the family of one of the nice people and they were very nice indeed.
There's one NP that I'm far more likely to bump into than anyone else though and they won't be one of your suspects. I can't name them though as it was entirely accidentally that I worked out our "link" and to share it would be unfair to them. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

They've known for a long time and haven't said anything publicly.
Discretion is the better part of valour and all that, its not fair for me to say anything else so you'll just have to guess, but right or wrong I can't respond. Sorry! Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I think the day and the world would be better served by me not going to work so the garden wins today. not to cold for some more tree removing. I'm so sick of ash saplings this week.0

Hope you feel better soon. don't try to kill yourself. I've got a great courgette pickle recipe if you prefer that rather than trying to eat it all at once.
I have 4 plants and no glut. I'm special. :rotfl:
