Think of it the other way Benben, if a guy acted too keen and always did the running and you didn't put in any effort to arrange the next meet when he initiated the first one would it put you off him because he's too keen? It would me!
Its not about playing games its about being cool and remembering that the chase is exciting and you will be robbing him of that excitement if you prompt and pre-empt (sp) everything...step away from the phone haha
I agree with Kittikins that mobile phones have a lot to answer for!0 -
Sweetie, I have this chat with girly chums a lot, with the coming of mobiles etc, it's sped up the whole dating process way too much. In the 'old days', you went on a date on a Saturday and if you didn't hear anything from them by Wednesday night, then you knew they weren't interested. If he doesn't contact you then sadly, no, he won't be interested, but it's only Monday and he may need to have time to ponder and think about how fabulous you are, and where he'd like to take you out for dinner or something
Sit on your hands and wait to see. It may take him a while because of the busyness of his training programme etc, but if he's interested, he will make the effort - and if he doesn't make the effort then he's not worth it! I've dated too many "lovely" men to know that no matter how busy a man's life is, if he wants to see you, he will move heaven and earth to make it happen. They're still cavemanlike in some ways!
Not that a bloke who has had one brief relationship in the last six years is a good advisor but this post up here ^^^^^ is absolutely blooming spot on, especially the second paragraph. If you keep chasing him, you run the risk of appearing a little desperate (sorry!!). I know you're not, everyone on here knows you're not but would he?
Good luck either way.0 -
Yes I agree too - you need to keep him waiting to see if he responds now I know it will be really hard - but if he is interested he will contact you - whose to know whether he is actually keen to start a relationship - I hope he is Ben Ben and I do hope he contacts you cause I know how hard it is for you trying to sit on your hands personally I would find it very hard to do.
But you dont want to give that desperate look (we as Smart Mart says know you are not) you are just excited but I would wait a little longer til at least Thursday. Then review the situation again.

I have thought a lot more about cutie ... surprise surprise
... and I think he may just see it all very differently to me; he knows I like him (the ta told him that when asking if he was single), he agreed to go for a drink, which we did ... I saw him several times at school today and he always makes a point of saying hello and asking how I am, stopping for several minutes at one point today to tell me about his day so far and ask about mine
I think though, he is crazily busy at school until the end if this term, and who knows, things may progress when we know each other better, but I think I may be jumping the gun a bit and need to calm down and slow down
I won't see him tomorrow as he's not in, may see him thursday and wont see him then til monday as he doesnt work fridays, but I need to follow all your advice and calm down a bit
I don't expect him to text me tbh, but he always seems pleased to see me and is lovely when we bump into each other
So maybe if the chance comes up at school at some point I may casually ask about another coffee, all very chilled like, and see how it goes. I think if I send a text it is just a bit too full on??
Crouchy is coming over in a bit, he said he'd never seen me like this before and I said to him I have only felt like this about 3 other people in my whole life, I am absolutely bowled over by him, I hate the feeling of being so dotty about someone I barely know, but I can't help it, I'm absolutely nuts about the guy
In other news, I had a voicemail message today asking me to collect a raffle prize from ds school, no idea what it is yet, guessing it may be too big or valuable for them to give it to ds (his name and class were written on the ticket stubs).Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000
