I'm home :) In fact, I was home a while ago but had to chat on the phone and then collect ds. So ...

We met and he looked utterly utterly beautiful :o You know, how you see someone and first reaction was Wow, you look stunning, and second reaction was You're way out of my league :o He looked soooo much better than at school, absolutely gorgeous :D

We went for coffee and sat chatting for 2.5hours non-stop, mainly about school / work stuff but that is the common ground so guess thats pretty normal. He had said at the start that he couldn't stay too long as he still had lesson plans to sort for tomorrow, so I knew it wouldn't be that long. Had a second coffee and cake, lots more chat, it went really well, he asked if I'd mind dropping him off home as he couldn't get his car out as his neighbour had blocked him in, no problem ;), got near his and he said to drop him off on the main road as there are roadworks on his road (true), so I did and he gave me a kiss on the cheek as he left.

So I have come back and not really sure how I feel ... I like him a million times more than I did a few hours ago, he is absolutely beautiful and I haven't been this smitten with anyone for years and years and years ... and yet part of me also thinks we don't have enough in common, he's 4 years younger than me, no commitments and judging by the way he looked today he could pick anyone he wants :(

We'll see what happens but I think it won't go anywhere however much I'd love it to :o But whatever happens, its been a great afternoon spent in beautiful company, its massively boosted my confidence - the whole asking him out thing - and who knows, this may not be the end of it :)

I have sent him a text thanking him for a lovely afternoon and asking him to save me a bit of the next cake he makes :D (he is legendary already at school for his amazing cakes :)). Haven't had a reply yet but (a) not expecting one tonight as I didn't ask anything that needs a response and (b) he's not the quickest at responding to text messages :)

Don't worry about the age thing benben. Mr G is 14 years older than me and Gap-Sis's man is 8 years younger than her  Age will not be a problem if it is meant to be ;)

Glad you had a lovely time.

  • Glad it went well and you had a lovely time. I had a date last week, in fact two dates with the same person, but I did not feel how you feel about your date :( just thought he was a nice friendly guy, he is now texting asking to meet up again but Im not sure if to meet again but then have the job of telling him No thanks, hate that bit. Good luck with your date and hope you have a second one.
