I've been trying to sort the finances again tonight, remember a couple of weeks ago when I seemed to have too much left over? Well, I still do ... now while thats great, somethings not right, because I can't just have an extra £300
I have tried to check and check everything again but cant figure out where I'm going wrong, so for now I will move the extra into a pot and if I find its rightful place I will have it, and if not at the end of the summer it will go into the mortgage pot (if it hasnt been spent along the way
). I do need to get a new tyre and some food shopping before the end of the month too.

Thanks RCP, even though he was in bed by 7 he didn't fall asleep until 9.15 and was awake at 6.30 this morning
So, todays plan ...
We need to go food shopping this morning, get the spare tyre sorted and then its mums dogs first birthday, so we're taking him for a picnic in the forest this afternoon
Today is payday from work too, so I need to get Augusts budget sortedMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Ds has been having a very chilled out morning and still isn't dressed yet. I have had my bath, hoovered through and have spent the last hour playing with the mortgage spreadsheet. It has always been slightly out of sync with the rest of my figures and I have never figured out why or how to alter it. However, I have now realised that it was due to the odd first payment when I got my new mortgage a couple of years ago, and that amount has knocked out all the subsequent figures. But, I have worked out how to change the spreadsheet to allow me to enter my own figures for the first couple of payments, so now the spreadsheet matches exactly my figures, and I phoned up to get an accurate balance and it was spot on with what the spreadsheet said :j :j The downside of it is that I have been working to slightly inaccurate figures for a while now, and so it means that whilst we are still in Jan 2020 I am only just into it rather than almost out of it, but hopefully soon enough we will be rid of it
Off to update my signature, feels like a little step backwards but at least now everything will be more accurate.Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Hi benben! I found your diary this morning and decided to have a quick squiz...almost 4 hours later and I am still here! It is quite an addictive read and, of course, I had to go and have a look at some of your other diaries to get a bit of background
Wow!! You sound like a lovely lady and ds is a lucky boy to have you as a mum.
I am going to subscribe and I will pop in now and again.

Aww thankyou GAP, can't believe you spent 4 hours reading my nonsense :eek: but thankyou for doing so and posting, please stick around
This afternoon we have been to mums and taken the dog to the forest and bought it an ice-cream for his birthday
I also went and got the new tyre sorted, cost me £50, but at least its sorted now. Other spends = £2 on ice-cream.
I also wrote a vague plan for the summer; I'm aiming to find my £500 from the following;
Ebay £150,
Surveys £100,
Car Boot £50,
Matched Betting / Games £200
The surveys bit sounds a lot but I have a couple that are almost at payout levels.Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Another of those days where its wet and miserable
Today is shaping up as follows;
1. Return a couple of bits to Next and one bit to H&M
2. Go ski bobbing with ds
3. Go food shopping
Not that exciting all in all, but it will get a couple of bits and pieces done off my list, which reminds me, I haven't posted it yet have I?? :eek:Oops, will get that done today too then

£3.50 profit from a small matched bet :beer:
Been and done the other bits from the list for today, spent £35 in tescos, I had a £5 off voucher so it wasn't too bad, didn't seem to get much food though, but did get some new earphones for my ipos, ds new school socks and a couple of (empty) hanging baskets reduced from £7.50 to 93p each :TMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Operation utterly fabulous seems to have gone by the wayside unfortunately
The stress of all of the case has seen me eating more and more recently, however I haven't cancelled my ww pass, so once its finished I intend to get back on track again.
It all kicks off properly a week tomorrow, should hopefully be finished that week too but may go into the next week :cool:Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000
