Morning Moo.
Not sure if this works with all man humans, but I've certainly noticed over the last week that if you clear something of theirs they either argue that they need it, or have a strop because you dared to touch their things and they had some sort of order going on. We have had some blazing rows over keeping plastic tomato containers, a cardboard box among others. However bare with me here comes the science part.....
If you clear the rest of the house and they suddenly discover that they can move around it, then they start to clear the previously argued over mess themselves, and sound all proud like they suddenly had a great idea. Bless.

I have a defective man thing. It takes the opportunity to cover any recently vacated surfaces with additional mancrap. Its why theres a 25kg bag of plaster on a footstool in the middle of the lounge. Its been resident there since before Christmas and is driving me nuts... but not nuts enough to open it and start plastering... I ahven't reached that level of cheesed off ness yet..Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
And so, it being Sunday, much slobbery has been achieved. Still decluttering Christmas chocolates but the shelf is clearing slowly. Answered many more inane E-bay questions, washed the bedding from the master boudoir after the hound from hell deposited a regurgitated frog on it and then spent a considerable amount of time holed up in the dining room with my knitting until the DDs realised I'd disappeared.
Currently doing the happy dance as something I'd bunged on E-bay in the hopes I'd get a couple of quid for it looks like raising ten times that and better still I have a box full of them. V. happy days!!!!
OH has gone to see a friend via the supermarket which means the great Janaury food shop can be delayed by another few days. The freezer stores are reducing slowly, might even be ale to defrost one of them in another week or so.
Have removed another couple of stray X-mas decorations, just have the one on the rain swept wind battered drive to go. No point going into the loft until then, although I'm getting sick of stubbing my toe on boxes in the dark.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

Rather amazingly the E-bayers have either paid up or arranged to collect so everything that sold is packaged up ready to post tomorrow. Total profit a rather surprising £20 after fees with another tenners worth under negotiation.:jBetter stil next weeks stuff is already up to £20 although several of the bidders reside in unpronouncable places in far flung corners of the globe.
Have finished both hats and taken down the last of the Christmas decorations only to have DD2 point out that the cards are still up as are her birthday cards. Shows how often I look up at the beams (I find its the easiest way to ignore the cobwebs).
Am now leisurely scoffing my way through the final box of Ferrero Rochers before bed. They're v. moreish.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Ah ferrero, i love them, but guaranteed to bring me out in spots. NOT a good look. So I will enjoy them virtually and thus virtuously!

Decided to spend half an hour knitting for me before going to bed. Discovered I'd mis counted on my previous attempt and royally !!!!ed up again so have frogged the jumper for the second time. Getting v. frustrated. Won't get chance ot have another go during daylight hours as OH is home so have to be seen to do useful things with my time.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

Hi moo2moo
Loving hearing of all your knitting - it is encouraging me to push myself to try new stitches and patterns
I saw some boxes of original kilner jars for sale today - think the box said for preserves - now i've already got a jam pan and knew i needed some jars but i'm not sure whats a good price to pay for them - any advice would be appreciated
I am also following your decluttering example - i've listed on eb*y over the weekend and am decluttering cakes along with a cuppa of course :coffee:

Nothing, zero, zilch, nada, zip. Just reuse ordinary jam jars and lids and pasta sauce jars and any other sort of glass jar with metal lid that hasn't been used for curry or pickled onions. Simply wash, de-label and bung in the over at 120 degrees C for 15 minutes.
As far knitting.....bah...... third attempt at a jumper went swimmingly, no twists, no lumpy joins, no screwed up rip just a minor balls up on gauge which meant that instead of an adult size 10 I had something closer to a kids age 10. Have frogged back and cast on for a fourth time, this time on considerably bigger needles. Will complete this if it kills me (which just might happen). Means I need to order another size of circular needle tips as well as a stitch holder. Still I'll consider it my well earned reward for relocating the x-mas decorations to the loft and defrosting the freezer.
Must also start going to bed two or so hours earlier. This 6 hour night malarky is resulting in panda eyes.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500
