Pointless question of the day goes to the e-bayer who asked whether there was any writing on it of an auction for an instruction booklet... I mean how? why? surely if it didn't have writing on it I'd be selling a folded sheet of A4 paper with two free staples.
Still that aside and the muppet who asked if I could power up something I'm selling without a power cable to see if it works its going swimmingly right down the the random questions 15 minutes before auctions end. Am trying hard not to bang my head against the wall. Tis only the fact that the tat has topped £60 with an hour to go which is keeping me sane.
My toes are just starting t thaw out after standing around at the stables for an hour. DD1 has been persuaded to take her Pony Club tests now the rules have been relaxed and a blazer and tie are no longer required. Means I have to remember to order a pony club badge by the next school hols which are a mere five weeks away.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

E-bay tat sold for £95 and almost as much in postage thanks to the vast majority departing overseas. After fees I'll be ecstatic to be left with something in the region of £75. More than ecstatic in fact. Euphoric. Deliriously happy even.
Meanwhile OH has phoned to report that The Boat Show is most disappointing and he has yet to buy anything unlike his younger sibling who is pushing a bike round the exhibition hall.
The DDs are enjoying doing nothing whilst endlessly chowing which means its pointless taking them out to Frankie & Benny's or even grabbing a take out which is just as well because I kinda forgot about lunch and am halfway through a box of Ritz crackers. I could get to like this decluttering malarky.
Am halfway through packaging up E-bay tat. Need to adress those that have piad and bung them in the car ready for monday. After that I'm going to label jam jars and knit my little socks off.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
The money fairy is in residence. Quidco have paid out £33 cash back and only three of the E-bayers have yet to pay which means my paypal account is very healthy indeedy.
Stayed up far far far too late last night. Watched Mr Poppers Penguins (yawn worthy), 17 Again (almost watchable) and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (so cheesy its great).
Used up the first ball of wool an inch below the armpit. Means I now have to knit both sleeves before continuing with the body otherwise I'm going to be cutting yarn in places I don't need to.
Labelled jam jars but still have lid labels to do which won't take too long. Parcels are partially wrapped so plans for this morning involve labelling them before doing a heck of a lot of washing up and a considerable amount of superficial tidying because this place looks like male student digs although thankfully without the stench of male BO.
DD1 finished wading through Shadow by Michael Morpurgo and enjoyed it so much shes started another one. Makes such a change for her to be reading age appropriate books and shows just how much effort shes putting into her reading. Now need to persuade her to write a book report and read two more titles from her school reading list so she can gain her Bronze library award. She'll be chuffed to bits when you does get it because she thought all the titles on the list were way beyond her.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Your jumper sounds very complicated - I am in awe! I am still waiting for the 'great plans for 2012 ' to kick in. Having managed to drag myself to a second funeral yesterday I am completely floored today in bed with aches from head to toe, cough, sore throat, nasal congestion ( to put it in a nice way!) and generally feeling bleurgh. The house seems to be cluttering itself with no effort at all. OH is having to produce weird and wonderful food combinations from stores and freezer - last night he succomed to driving the 10 mile round trip to get a kebab for him and DD2 ( I have no appetite at moment). As I have control of laptop at the moment I think |I will get onto some knitting website - any you can steer me to?Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Ravelry - tis quite simply the dogs wotsits of all things knittery
Jumper is v. v. simple. Tis only the imbecile following the destructions thats making it complicated. Making it in shades of snot and vomit. DD2 is firmly convinced its an awful choice of colours but since I almost had enough lurking in the cupboard it seemed daft to buy something else.... kinda wishing I had though because its really not me.
Borde of wrapping parcels. Have been at it for what seems like hours and still have three to go plus the unpaid ones. Tis the downside of listing shed loads of stuff in one go. Always seems like such a good idea at the time. Equally since its technically free cash the impulse to splurge away is v. v. tempting. A bit too tempting in fact.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

Wellllllll first I booked a courier collection for a parcel to France, a bargaintastic £15 for 2.1 kg which is a fiver less than the post office with 7% cashback and then well I'm kinda thinking about a Really Useful Box to store v. fragile KnitPro sock needles because the box they're in at the mo isn't quite big enough and I keep aquiring more KnitPro tips so its getting a bit full. Then, well, a jumper for moi in Berries or majesty is v. tempting as is the purpely one and DD1 kinda fancies one in pink but so far I've avoided buying anything purely because I'm not sure if I can just get away with two balls or if I'll have to use a teeny bit of a third. Plus the whole size thing is a bit up in the air at the mo. and then theres the whole promising myself I wouldn't buy any more yarn till I'd made a significant hole in the stash, which is making me feel a teeny weeny bit guilty. So I'm thinking I should do more knitting and less shopping untilI can shut the cupboard door with ease.
Off to get dressed before having brunch. Seem to have skipped breakfast although I've munched my way through a pack of chocolate fingers with the DDs assistnace washed down with much coffee.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500
