Moo Enjoy your Hobbycraft expedition
:):) You have earned the money so enjoy it.
I am glad that I live a long way from Belfast or I would be popping in regularly to Dunelm's and Lakeland. Saves me a fortune living in the 'sticks'.:):) Am planning an expedition to Ikea soon so may hit the other 2 on the way out of the city. Need to actually list something on ebay before I can even think about spending!"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream"C. S. Lewis

Thanks but I have dseveloped the nasty habit of lack-of-woolus which means I run out just before I finish something. In the case of the jumper the sleeves are finished and attached and then I ran out of wool. Hoping the shop in town has some otherwise I'll be waaiting until Friday to get some delivered.
Spent £2.50 in Hobbycraft. Seemed to be full of x-mas stuff and valentines stuff and dolls houses but very little else.
DD1 enjoyed her trip to the flicks. Definately wasn't the film she was expecting but she seems to have enjoyed it.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Ended up ordering the wool from E-bay. Figured it was cheaper than driving into town. In the meantime I've started on my coat. Twice. Thanks to an error in the instructions which resulted in a waist 10" bigger than I required. Hopefully second time lucky although its still abit on the big side its not disasterously huge.
Meanwhile because I've got somthing on the go that I really really want to get on with I have a backlog of requests for hats and tea cosys which is fab in that its paying for the fun stuff but rather annoying that everything comes along at once when you least want it.
Operation loft hatch is progressing with minimal mess although the expenditure is escalating. Turns out we now need loft flooring and shelving and a light which is quite impressive considering that a week ago we didn't really need a loft ladder and we never go up in the loft anyway. Still if I can get up there easily I can bung lots of acarp up there out of the way which will tidy the house instantly.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

I find - particularly when living with men - that it's amazing the things you didn't know you needed....additional tools and other random items fall within this area too!0 -
Nice to see that something is getting round the house. Hope it isn't too expensive in the end.I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

New hatch built. Ladder fitted and floor boarding started. Between that and the normal stuff that goes on round here I haven't had chance to do much else. OH seems happier now that hes doing things.
Knitting like mad in whatever time I have left but have a backlog of stuff to do. Delivered the last hat resulting in two more orders, same happened with the tea cosy. Selling more via word of mouth than I am through the Country Market. Close to breaking even on my knittery spends this month, just need to find enough time to knit everything and catch up with everything else.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Morning Moo
You are certainly busy. It will be great to have all that extra space when you get it all floored. Delighted to hear OH in good form. I imagine you flying around doing your normal duties with a pair of needles at the same time:) Keep on knitting.

Oo, that sounds excellent on the knitting front (well, on the loft hatch front too actually!) - congrats!0 -
Spent my off work hours wandering round Ikea in search of a desk for DD2. Came home deskless because they didn't have anything even vaguely suitable. Bonus being I spent under a tenner which is unheard of.
Got to work to the tail-end of the Chinese New Year celebrations. The local take out had generously sent a banquet out to one of the classes to allow the kids to sample a few things. There was more than enough food for them plus another two classes and the occupants of the staffroom. Ate far too much and had seconds and thirds. Was v. late home.
Started the hood part of my jumper at something like midnight so am hoping to finish the jumper today. Also investigating short row boob shaping to adapt a coat pattern for flat chested people to something capable of coping with my projectablies. Thinking I need to add 5" more length at the front which is gonna take some doing in a stripey pattern. I may well be swearing rather a lot later.
Have more E-bay sales ending today. No bids but lots of enquiries, hoping they'll shift at the last minute. Otherwise plans for the weekend are minimal.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500
