Hello Moo
So very sorry about your dog. You are right to make the decision asap, its the sign of a very responsible owner. Thinking about you and God bless."You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream"C. S. Lewis

Hugs Moo, it's never easy making that decision. Saying goodbye and the heartache is the price you pay for loving, cold comfort I know xxxxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

It's a much kinder thing you're doing Moo.
A friend inherited his dad's dog a few years ago and kept the old sod alive a lot longer than was kinder. By the time he was put to sleep his back end was essentially knackered and he was incontinent and quite distressed about it. My friend didn't want to put the dog down as he was his last link to his dad, but it was cruel to keep him in that state. Eventually his missus put her foot down.
It's sad, but for the best for the old dear. Doesn't mean it's not horrible for you and the DDs though *hug*0 -
Oh Hon - what a horrid decision to have to make.
Know it's been said before, but it bears repeating - you're doing what's best for her.
Hang on to the fact that you've obviously given her a wonderful life, and remember that it takes strength and courage to love a pet enough to let it go.
We'll be here throughout the week - virtual tissues and hugs at the ready, so just you rant, weep and reminisce at will.
**hugs**

Why thank you .... but now I'm wondering if I've created a matching hunchback as I've made the back the same width as the front to get the shoulders to match up. Knitting is not supposed to keep you awake at night!Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

Feeling like a heartless biatch. The dying aunt is finally dead and I feel nothing. Nada. Zilch. Zip. Am actually looking forward to the funeral as an excuse to have a day off work and catch up with a few people I haven't seen in ages. However the thought of bumping off the geriatric old dear is reducing me to a gibbering wreck. Took her for our usual walk today she stumbled and wibbled so I know the time is right (even if she did then take off at warp speed to chase a bunny). Suppose the hardest part of caring for anyone is knowing when to say enoughs enough.
Will be glad when tomorrow is over.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
