Went into work yesterday morning as normal. Felt fine, great even. Came home and spent the day watching films. Went back to work. Managed an hour before suddenly feeling hot, shakey, nauseous, dizzy and breaking out in a rash. Got the boss to drive me home. Fell asleep and slept for 12 hours. Am taking today off. Other than feeling really tired I feel OK at the mo. Have no appetite at all which isn't helping matters. Nor is the dross on daytime tv. On the brightside I've cleared my inbox of surveys and have almost reached payout on one. Means I can spend the day surfing E-bay for affordable spinning wheels and generally bumbling about.

    Hi Moo

Crikey, I hope you're feeling better.

I happen to know someone who could be persuaded to sell a quality spinning wheel... what kind of 'affordable' are you looking for?

Ooooh..... something considerably less than the £500 models I keep coming across.... I'm intrigued.

Managed to stay awake for most of the day yesterday. Watched Amelia (mediocre), Attack the Block (dire), Knight and Day (funny in places), Dawnbreakers (lost the plot by falling asleep midway through) and an epidose of Restoration Man. Feeling marginally more human. The world no longer spins when I'm vertical.

Made the mistake of checking my e-mails. Turns out one of the local farmers has decided to host a music festival in his fields for a mere 5000 festival goers but skipped the bit about informing the locals and apparently you can do this without planning permisson just by forking out £30 for an event licence to the local council. Those living directly opposite it are predominantly the elderly and are very concerned that their quiet estate will be full of drunk yobs and more concerningly the additional volume of cars in and around the area will mean that their carers and meals on wheels service won't be able to get through. If it does go ahead I'll be changing my holiday plans because theres no way I'm leaving the house empty whilst this takes place.

Sold another book on Amazon. Then had an eeek moment when I convinced myself it was in the job lot that I'd donated to the charity shop, then realised it wasn't and spent half an hour looking for it. Finally found it so have a further £1.50 towards the spinning wheel. Whilst on a roll I did a couple of boring surveys and claimed a £5 Amazon voucher from the lot that used to be lightspeed.

Spent all day yesterday watching the telly box. Knitted a couple of feet of wrap and washed up to alleviate the boredom. Finally felt almost normal as I departed for bed so it was a bit of a surprise to wake up a couple of hours later feeling like red hot pokers were being rammed into my face. Am in more pain now than I've been since I had the op done which really isn't good. My face is still swollen which equally isn't good. On the brightside I no longer feel sick or dizzy and at least one of the items I shoved on E-bay last weekend will sell.

Planning another day of slovenly ho-ness in the hopes that my body wins the war thats going on within it. Am incredibly bored of doing nothing but don't have the energy to do much else. Made the mistake of googling to see if this is a common side effect ..... apparently its not but I have all the symptoms of an abnormal facial tumour..... you've got to love the interactive diagnose yourself website. They come up with the most ridiculous things.

Hope the teeth/mouth/face feel better soon Moo.You are not going to work are you.......? Interent self diagnosis is such a bad thing as are forums set up for various conditions cos everybody on there have such horror stories to tell.............I stopped looking because I seemed to be the only one with no symptoms no ongoing treatment and no plans for 12 hours of surgery:eek:

Hell yes I'm going to work. I've had more than enough of daytime tv. A combination of paracetamol and ibuprfen seems to be dulling the pain and the swelling hasn't got any worse over the weekend. Going to do an hour or so this morning and see how it goes. Have to go there any way to take DD2 to school so I might as well give it a whirl.

Sold one item on E-bay. Better than nowt.
