Avoiding cleaning the oven. It's sending out distress signals in smoke. Too tired to care and I really can't be arsed.

Did much more housework. Even cleaned the tardis under the stairs. Unearthed enough washing liquid to keep us going for another couple of months. Means I can have a guilt free day of craftyness tomorrow.

Tis free listing on flea bay all weekend. With that in mind I will be trawling the house for ebayables. Anything which needs to depart but is not worth E-baying is going in a charity box to be disposed of on Monday morning. The OH is working, the weather forecast is pants and I have no excuse whatsoever to avoid this. I already have two big bags of tat for the cash for clothing place so will get rid of that on Monday too. Will bung the proceeds into the spinning wheel fund so that if I do decide I like it I'll be in a position to buy one and if not I'll have £350 to play with. Thats a lot of E-baying although I do still have a cupboard full of limited editions collectables which shift for about £15 each providing I wait 6 weeks between listings.

Further plans for today involve a long walk with the hairball and a spot of knitting. Might as well enjoy the peace and quiet while I can.

Got home from work super duper early although I did go in extra early just to be on the safe side. Figured I needed to clean the oven before I set fire to it. Again. So the dishwasher is whizzing round on its hottest setting with all the bits that could be wedged in and having given the oven a quick wipe to get rid of the loose stuff I've squirted it with the remains of a bottle of oven cleaner and shut the door. Will need to remember to scrub it before lunch but hopefully the squirty stuff will make that a little easier.

Will take the hairball for a mooch to stop her licking the chemical laden drips off the floor. Need to dig out my winter coat again because its blowing a hoolie out and its ridiculously cold.

I did a survey whilst quaffing coffee so I already have £3 in the spinning wheel fun. Only another £347 or so to go.

Was rudely awoken at 4am by the four legged fiend who was most insistent that she needed to go outside. Not that she needed the loo as it turned out, but because the cats had caught a frog and she wanted in on the action. 45 minutes later she finally decided to come back indoors. Went back to bed only to be awoken ten minutes later by the sound of a regurgiatated frog landing on the carpet with a splat.

    Have given up on sleep.

Instead I'm working on a swanky new SOA. One which shows just how much all the basics have gone up in the last year. It doesn't make for pretty reading.

Everything else comes out of the surplus because we can live without it if necessary.

I've committed £350 to a variety of savings accounts. The OH and I each get £75 to a frittering account which covers school trips, random splurges, gifts and whatever else is needed. Theres still ample left over each month which we did lob at the debt but now thats gone I've got to come up with a cunning new plan involving an emergency fund, a new roof and rather a lot of double glazing, not to mention OHs new home at the bottom of the garden and the toys with which to keep him occupied.

We're still drowning under a deluge of tat which I'm going to get rid of in order to streamline things and fund a spinning wheel or some other such random frivolous purchase. In fact the spinning heel fund is going rahter well. I spent yesterday evening clearing my in box of e-mails. I qualified for one survey. Which takes me a teeny weeny bit closer to payout. Need to get my bum in gear with those again. The cheque from Zapper finaly arrived which bumped it up by £16.25 and today is fleabay free listing day and I have loads to list. Just need to find the enthusiasm to do it. Hopefully I've also managed to shift half a dozen balls of wool for what I paid for them which will add another £20 to the fund.

And I've been exercising my grey matter by randomly waffling over on the dark side. Feel much better fo makingmyself think about things rather than just typing whatever flits into and swiftly out of my head.

OH came back from his jolly with a cheesy grin on his face and a bag full of unidentifiable goodies. Hes finally excited about something. As is my dad. For the two of them went together and whilst the OH bought bits of tooling and random gadgets my dad came home with a selection of brochures detailing the building of a working model steam engine. I suspect Granny won't be at all delighted.

OH survived 36 hours in seclusion with my parents without major incident although they did make him watch Britains Got Talent and Cremation Street. Mind you the volume they have the telly set at you have to endure it even if you escape to another room.

Now Granny has retired shes a woman on mission and has suggested that the OH and I might like to have a romantic weekend away whilst she and my dad look after children and animals. Hmmm. Wonder if shes thought that through. Equally wonder if I can find something Land Rover in the vicinity of Cockermouth at the end of June so that I can spend a day at Woolfest and he can !!!!!! orf to do something he likes for the day, meeting up for dinner later. Doubt thats quite what Granny had in mind. It would be an ace way to spend a child free weekend though. I love the Lake District, despite having a minor mishap here which resulted in a meet and greet with the cheerful chaps of Keswick Mountain Rescue.

Woolfest - brill! Lake District - fab and a great place to go for your 'romantic' weekend ;) I am sure the OH would fine something interesting - the pencil museum in Keswick maybe??:rotfl: Striding Edge - my old weekend stamping ground and favourite place in my youth!! We are escaping the jubilee hoo ha and camping in Lakes in a place back of beyond - actually there is not much sign of jubilee hoo ha here in the heartland TBH whats it like with you nearer the border?
