Brilliant news about debt freedom being a mere juggle of funds away :T:j:T
Love the blog but do hope it doesn't mean that we will be losing you from MSE, how about becoming a MFW?
There is a challenge Moo! And you are not one to shy from one of those;):DBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Ummm because the lot was combined our DFW date was also our MFW date. So we're currently totally and utterly debt free hence being in a state of shock.
Not planning on abandoning MSE just yet though.
Soooo plans now involve sorting out a savings account so that I have something to show for this at the end of the year. Hoping that we can bung almost everything we've been throwing at the debt into a safety net account whilst increasing our pocket money allowance to something more than that of the average teenage. Have been stuck on £70 a month forever.
Need to do a complete overhaul of everything and sort out savings accounts for the DDs.
Still have a gazillion survey companies on the go will bung the proceeds from them into Moo's Ridiculously Frivolous Craft Stuff Fund in readiness for my next batch of itchy fingered splurges. Am currently perusing the web in the hopes of finding a double treadle spinning wheel at a sensible price but even the naff looking MDF ones are extortionate. Wondering if I can make one or more correctly persuade the OH to make one because he won't be at all impressed if I take over his new home before hes had a chance to move in. Equally whilst I can cut a striaght line with a saw I doubt I can manage a round circle although he does have a scroll saw and I'm pretty sure I could manage with that, although its incredibly slow so I'd get very bored and probably screw it up daydreaming. Which makes me wonder if I'm the right person for a spinning wheel in the first place.
Meanwhile the diabolical jumper is progressing. I reached the shoulder join before running out of yarn so am improvising away and am using two strands of DK in place of the chunky. Assuming that I run out again (which is very likely) I'll then end up with Aran and one or two strands of 2ply. Its eating up wool which is most excellent all apart from the running out way before I expected to run out.
Spent another couple of hours tunneling in the garden. Managed to lay another 6m of cable which was incredibly slow going thanks to a proliferation of tree roots. Managed to go under the majority of them. Moved the Landie back into its original position without incident which means I can continue down the garden later today when the frost clears. DD2 loves digging so is being most helpful whilst DD1 is doing the teenage thing and huffing a lot.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Oh how exciting
I think you should stay here because we would all miss you if you go. Keep your account £10 overdrawn then you're still a DFW - just make sure it's an interest free overdraft :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

My current account seems to be permanently overdrawn. Keep forgetting about the £300 direct debit I set up to a savings account in February , a locked in do not touch it type savings account. I'm a week from payday with a balance of £50 and around £100 worth of standing orders and direct debits still to come out. I'll get the hang of the juggling act eventually. Fortunately I have interest free overdrafts everywhere except the halifax so I'm uber careful never to go overdrawn with them, its a very expensive mistake to make.
A sudden downpour stopped digging which is rather fortuitous because my knees are killing me. I'm too old and decrepit for manual labour.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
