You say you all hate it... yet you'd soon complain if money went bye byes from your account! HSBC have made it as small as possible and it's a lot smaller than all other similar devices out there.0

I hate the little gizmo and am changing banks because of it. And thanks to Quidco I'll even make a profit on the swap

I have an account with HSBC and I got a letter to say that I would be sent one soon, but it hasn't arrived yet.
Luckily the HSBC isn't my main account, so I wouldn't need to use it that often.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £19,575.020 -

Yes, I'm another one who hates it, they might have made it small but it has all the build quality of a 70's Chinese calculator.
And people who have managed to break the screen have found out that you get no access to the online banking till they send out a replacement.====0 -
First Direct is part of HSBC so won't they be introducing this gizmo sooner or later?Oops my mistake - not Quidco (forgot I found a better one), First Direct. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I recently closed my HSBC current account due to the secure key requirement and called up First Direct to ask them if they had any plans to introduce the secure key. First their agent said they didn't have any plans, i asked him "are you 100% sure?" he kept me on hold for 10 mins and then said " sorry, we do intend to introduce something similar within the next 12 months0 -

Same here - I have a Barclays one, Natwest and now waiting for HSBC.
But at the moment I am resisting having any of the related iPhone apps for the banks I use because I'm not sure I trust those!!
I have become so used to the Barclays one as my main account, it doesn't feel like much of a big deal for me. Useful advice to lock them away - they are normally tucked away in a tray somewhere.
I make it a point to do my Internet banking on one PC at home and never used my work laptop at all for that. So apart from a number of these gadgets - I don't think I am that affected. Just waiting now for LTSB and Halifax to follow suit and then I guess I will have a full set!!!- Mortgage @ March 2008: £194,965 ; Lightbulb Moment: July 2011: £164,926; End Date: March 2033
