    Thanks for the ideas all :) have always wanted a George Forman and we don't actually have a grill here so it could come in handy.

    hi there
    i saw a recipe somewhere on here & I've tried searching but can't find - it was a potato layer bake & I think it had potato & onion layered & a tin of toms & cheese on top but I can't remember & can't afford to mess it up.... can anyone help me out?

    I've done it off here before, and can't remember the exact recipe. I didn't use tomatoes for mine. Think I layered onion, potato, cheese sauce, and bacon, and then topped off with grated cheese and baked in the oven.

    There were a few variations if I remember correctly.

    ooh yes possibly? I;m trying to think where I saw it - I thought it was in a meal planning thread or a cheapest meals thread

    I'm pretty much sure it was Thriftlady. A cunning search has come up with this.

    Can't be bothered to sift throught the posts though. Perhaps a better search might help?
