PARKING EYE are lying to me! How to prove it?

I recently recieved a ticket throught the post for overstaying at Aldi ( I bought a bag of cat litter from there just to be fair and went across the road to the dentist). Fair do's, I'm not disputing the fine, I shop there regularly and it was the 1st time I had abused their system. The signs are clearly there. The dentist was running half an hour late, but that's neither here nor there. An unforeseeable delay on my part.

Parking Eye gave me 3 days in which to get the payment to them otherwise I would incur almost double charge. I basically was shocked that this had come through the post with only 3 days to pay and sent them the payment by 1st class and registered post that afternoon along with a letter saying I admit the fine and here's payment but send me proof you have sent me prior and ample notification in which to pay, 3 days is unreasonable.

What got me was that they had blatantly LIED to me on my fine about the time they had given me to pay, at the top it said that they had already notified me on 27th June (the offence took place 21st June) and I was to pay by 10th July or it would be almost double. I only got 1st NOTIFICATION on (letter dated 5th, received) 7th July!! Anyway I have paid the fine in increments of 1 and £2 cheques, (sorry, I was so angry they had lied to me), all sent together BEFORE 10th July and photocopied and sent by registered post.

I got a letter in the post today WITH 'THE' FINE DATED 27TH WHICH I NEVER RECEIVED!! Now they're threatening me for almost double along with other charges. They are saying I have an extended 14 days to appeal but I don't want to appeal, I have paid the fine on time, they've lied to me, I don't need to be harassed any more.
The number they have given me to resolve this is an automated payment line which I tried on the day already.

I have been into Aldi to tell them what's going on is underhand and unacceptable and the manager says it's all automated and unless I have receipts they can't consider doing anything about it. I do not keep receipts for cat litter going back several weeks as it is a consumable and I do not expect it to go wrong(!). Aldi said to submit in writing and they'll see what they can do.

I am now going to write to Parking Eye too, I'm furious they have lied to me and are now trying to bully more money out of me. I am on very limited income, I mean limited! I pay tax (not earnt enough to pay past 2 years) so am really struggling with each day as it is, how do I prove this company have lied to me??!

Thanks in advance, sorry to waffle on and don't say pay it and shut up, I will fight this tooth and nail on principle if I have to.

It is not a fine. Cease all correspondence with them, anything else from them put in the bin. DO NOT pay them a penny- you are under no legal obligation to do so. You have been taken for a sucker- don't let it get any worse.

I am currently ignoring their letters, not for the first time with a private parking company. This technique shows they are getting even more desperate for results,as more and more people realise these private companies have no jurisdiction.
    Don't get mad,get even.

Ignore Parking Spy, they rarely take people to court.

Just send a lovely letter to the manager of that Aidl saying that thanks to harassment by a contractor you shall be taking your shopping elsewhere from now on, and telling your friends & families to do the same.

I would ask them to return the cheques for the wrong amount as you need to send a one for the new amount.
greed may just get the better of them
Then when you get them back IGNORE THEM.
Sorry but you have been Scammed by crooks, you did not have to pay them anything. .
