I noticed this thread last night, also a couple of unsavoury replies towards the O/P and this deal.

by shear chance I was in Liverpool city centre today and tried several CPW stores, whilst none had any stock (2 of the shops actually checked online, this was about 12.30 - 1.00pm

for the next 2-3 hours I stayed glued to this thread (also noticed it appeared on HUKD)

now considering we now know quite a number of people have been successful in getting this notebook at the original price in the O/P

think a couple of posters on here should be
    a) eating humble pie
    b) apologising to the O/P for comments made against him/deal

btw, I never got a notebook, but fairplay to all those that did
  • Indeed it was :D but justifiably so, as I now accept all your points. I just didn't notice that quote he made of yours (which I didn't think was implied criticism when I originally read it).
    Please accept my apologies.

    *shuffles feet* I'm sorry too.

This sort of thing is all too common and although i'm against "spam", quite often people get slated for telling others about deals going on at companies they work for.

I work for a small company and we had a huge deal on a particular product - it was the cheapest online by a mile - I put it on here and it was taken straight off.

the annoying thing is that people would have actually bought it and got a good bargain... but hey, these boards can be so clicky with people thinking they know best - when quite often they just don't.

If the deal isn't on Amazon/tesco/asda/massive company then it is automatically assumed that you're trying to rob people!! this has to change.
