mine came the next dayi was debating ordering or not and decided to go for it dispite the delivery charge. glad i did the mywater stuff is nice and the passion fruit flavor is really nice. i found i ddnt need as much syrup as the bottle said either
it says on the invoice that the royal passionfruit flavor is fruit punch syrup (uk version) so maybe it will still be available next year as a different name. the smaller bottles are great to take out and about with fizzy or plain water too theyre nice and strong

This is not for you.

Depends very much on your own water supply. Carbonated water varies only according to the water used to make it, and how much C02 is added to it.
The only difference you'll notice, though, probably is the price - it will cost a lot more to make than the cheap large supermarket bottles.
making your own at home with the soda stream works out 60 litres = 10 quid cost of a refill not sure how much a bottle costs at the shops as i dont buy it but i really dont think there would be that much of price difference surely?? and as op says much easier that lugging big bottles home
i make my own fizzy water when i am hungover tastes greatbest win in 2011:eek: 4 nights in Las Vegas
2011 wins £8,752.000 -
I think my calculations are right (maths isnt my strongest subject ) but some peeps asked how much it works out for a litre.
I gas canister = 60 litres = £10
5 bottles of syrup = 60 litres = 12.50 (based on syrup costing £2.50 bottle from Argos - i know you can get it cheaper at Asda for £2 bottle but my local doesnt have any in stock).
So it works out 37 1/2p a litre.
or 33.3p a litre if you get the £2 syrup bottles.
I think !:xmastree: Organising and Money Saving for Christmas 2011 :xmastree:0 -

Sodastream sparkling water works out, on these figures, at 16.6p for 1 litre.
Tesco sparkling water is much the same price (17p) for twice that at 2 litres.
Even ignoring the extra cost of buying the Sodastream itself, it does seem a pretty pointless exercise to buy something that will enable you to make fizzy water at twice the price you can already buy it for ready made!0
