Unless the house has national notoriety then not a problem and who knows what has happened in any our houses (for those of us in older homes??). My house is 1901 and I do occasionally think of the previous occupants.

you guys might find this is a little too 'new age' but i would go ahead and buy the place, but if i bought the house i would get a Smudge stick and do a smudging ceremony. I do this every time i move....

Just wear ear plugs during the night to block out the screams.

There is nothing to be concerned about. In the case of really nasty crimes like Brady and West the properties were subject to demolition by the Local authorities.

If I had a property which I wanted shifted fast I would reduce it to a price I was certain it would sell at. Fill your boots whilst you can. Just be sure to get a proper survey done to cross the t's.....

As has already been mentioned property over 100 years or so old had probably had countless deaths and births within its walls... The one I am typing this in was built in 1876 and it but 70 metres from the boundary of the (ancient) local Parish Church.
I like to tell my kids bedtime stories about how in medieval times everyone wanted to be buried in the church grounds and as back in those days there were no boundaries as such as there are today the church grounds spread far and wide..... I let them work the rest of out for themselves....:rotfl:

That is my opinion exactly! I said to my partner, it's not like there's an evil spirit living in the walls that is going to make you do the same thing. I just can't understand why nobody else seems to be thinking along the same lines and snap it up.
It looks like it's going to go to auction, and probably before we can get our mortgage sorted, which is a shame. We've arranged a viewing for tonight anyway!x

If it's going to auction it may well sell for a lot more than you are expecting anyway. Guide prices are not much of an indicator.

I think you would be lucky to find any old house that someone has not died in.

That was a hotel, so completely different....although twins totally freak me out.

Actually there was a house in my town that was subject to to some sort of controversy. I think there was a violent incident but there was allegedly a gypsy curse on it. I would have snapped it up if I was in the market for a house at that time. It was practically given away.
