JackieO - Thinking of you today.
Didn''t manage to post yesterday as went for curry with work people after work, then picked OH up and nipped to shops, then it was all of a sudden bed time!!
Should find out today if we can go to Devon tomorrow, can't get the day off so can't go to scotland with my mum, trying to work out when i can get up there as desperate to see my grandad.
Fully on the weightloss wagon once more, have managed to shift 4lbs in the last two weeks, which i'm pleased about.
OH is off to work, puppy is at home today so need to come home at lunch to check on him - this means i get to have a warm lunch, i'm thinking scrambled eggs.
dinner will be carbonara, will sit down and meal plan tonight for the week ahead.
Going to chase my tax rebate today and see if they've got any where with it.
Have a lovely day all

JackieO - your words show how very special your DH was to you all. I will be thinking of you today.
Molly - glad you will have help with the pain for a few weeks. have a good time with Mooloo, I often read about her.
Cheapskate - sorry to hear of your DS's money troubles. A wise friend of mine used to say something like 'ah, he is on his own journey' or something like that, meaning they have to learn. Hard though.
PenPin - lovely to see you posting. Often think of you - big (((hug)))

Morning all
JACKIEO thinking of you and yours today
Big hugs to anyone who needs one
Just been watching the news about the Open at Sandwich, I grew up not far from there and it was always freezing and blowing a gale. As kids we used to hide in the sand dunes and swim very fast in the sea, I remember being blue!
Made some baked doughnuts last night as I picked up a pan from Lidl. DS reckoned they were ok and has just told me they taste better with icing and sprinkles on, so that's another thing HM that will cost me less money.
Plan today to hang out the washing in a mo, it's freezing but windy here so it should dry. Then I'm going to crack on with decorating my hall. Going to the gym later and going to pick my friend's dog up for a sleepover. He always makes me feel better. Tea tonight is steak for DS, not quite sure what I'm having, not keen on steak.
Have a good day all.

Morning all,
Still feel dreadful, throat is red raw, and everything aches, not going into work, I dont like having time off, but dont think I could sit there all day, also dont want to pass it on to anyone. So another day not doing much, will take it easy and hope to be better tomorrow.
DD still in bed, will get her up in a while, she can hoover through for me, dinner tonight is something with chips, which I am glad about, just dont have the energy to do much.
Thanks for the get well wishes, I am sure I will bounce back soon.
Jackie O I am very sure that Alan is looking at you all so proud of what you have achieved, you two were so lucky to have found each other, big hugs today xxxx

Morning All,
Its a lovely day here, I have been sitting outside since seven with the dog, and will be going back out shortly. I have hurt my back again, and its slowly getting worse, I am a bit worried by it, but am following all the exercises I got from the physio last year, and hoping that will help sort it out before it gets any worse. I don't really have time just now to have a bad backOff out this afternoon with my sister to the Register office to post her banns - BIL still isn't doing too great, but he was out yesterday visiting his sister, and got to sit outside in the sun for a wee while too, which will have done his soul a world of good.
JackieO, I will be thinking of you today, and agree that it sounds like Alan left a lovely legacy behind him. x
Bramble hope you get to see grandad soon.x
Molly you make sure you pace yourself, woman! xxx
Cheapskate I hope your sone gets sorted out soon, it must be a real worry for you.x
Hugs to everyone else in need, Penpin, Jaxx Hester's DS and everyone else.
Have a lovely day

morning!
busy week for me here so didn't get time to pop in yesterday.
Off to work this afternoon so need to do some catch up jobs this morning.
Have taken some HM quorn cottage pie out to defrost for tea.
washing on the line although little Louie is back to his old ways of 'helping' with the laundry and keeps dragging stuff off the line:eek: he has a fondness for my best black bra for some reason, luckily he doesn't chew it up just runs round the garden with it!:D
(((hugs))) to JackieO, 8 years this year also since we lost my Dad(september)
Moorhen - well done to your little chicks!:T
PenPin - sorry that things are no better with your health x x x
JackieG - hope your back is soon better x x
DH is suffering with a combination of his arthritis and sciatica at the moment but as usual he heeps going somehow - he's made of stern stuff, I'd be a wreck if it was me.
Had a meeting at work yesterday - management are trying to stop staff having meals at work to save money:mad: we've always all eaten together - its part of the ethos of the place. Due to the nature of the job we have work every bank holiday for no extra, every Christmas and get no proper breaks where we are 'off duty' so to speak so free meals always compensated for this a bit plus no pay rise since 2006! I've been looking up our rights on the internet. Another interesting fact I found out is that there is supposed to be 11 hours between shifts so if you finish at 8pm in the evening you should not be back on shift until 7am the following day at the earliest. We finish at 10pm and are back on duty at 7am so only 9 hours break! I can see there being some tense negotiations coming up!
I love my job but this on top of a lot of shift changes to save money is creating a lot of bad morale at work.
anyway enough of that.
have a lovely day all x x xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Just popped in to say get well soon to Redruby and hope that JackieG's back gets better soon.
Thinking of you today JackieO your Alan sounds like a wonderful man, you must have had some very happy times together.0 -
Jackie O - lots of love to you today.
Loads of things to do - Kids already in school with their lunches, three loads of washing done and on the line, I've cut the grass, just had my breakfast and will crack on with clearing out the car. Have some things to sort out - and then will be spending the day in the garden - have to lift the potatoes, weed the garden and water everything - from the water butt.
Need to fix the strimmer though as I can't do the edges and it looks a mess. Watching Jeremy Kyle - just whilst I'm sat down - does make me realise how lucky I am and how sensible!! hugs to those in need.xxxMe, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -
