Well done on crossing things off Dinah. Although why isn't 39 crossed off????????
I always say that I don't watch films and as such don't own that many DVD's. DH always laughs and claims I have more than him (block buster doesn't have as many as he does!) but all mine are Disney ones which DD has now claimed as her own!
PS NIM loving your financial goal target date. My anniversary!
ETAjust realised it's your anniversary too

NIM and I were talking about the debt last night, and we're considering taking a different tak... but you'll have to wait a few days to see if we go with it or if we stick with how we're doing it atm.
Nice email to wake up to, won a fiver off a pack of gum.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Ohh i am intrigued about the new tak.
Just been having a look at the new york pics, looks like you had a great time!0 -

Ooh, I'm the one for that in our relationshipI like really terribly done slasher movies from the 70s. If they're badly dubbed into English that's even better! Or just horribly made current horror movies will do. We did see Friends with Benefits yesterday though - OH's pick!
Whenever I make a list I always think, as long as I cross one thing off I'm good!Little steps and all that. Good luck with today!
And I have a confession. I feel I should say it with a lot of you have Christmas present making October goals. Me and Rich may have bought all of ours already*ahem* Spent £150 altogether and got everyone pretty awesome gifts (My Brother, for example has this. WHO ON EARTH EVEN DECIDED TO MAKE THAT?! It's a brother-sister joke before anyone thinks I've gone crack-a-lackers!)
I was looking at the Boots Christmas gifts yesterday and there's a whole sewing section I think Tete will go a little lah-lah for! And a Mini Mouse make-up range too for Birdie (I got OH's little Sister a kit for her Birthday). I also saw THIS which I decided Max must have, CMD!
My name is Kate, and I'm a gift-buyer-a-holic. :lipsrseal
Glad Tete's okay though! I saw her on MFP so thought she must be alive at least. Unless someone was posing as her or something :eek:0 -
Well done on the Christmas shopping. I bought Poppys main pressie today is the walker i was planning on getting her, was 20% off and i had 20 pounds argos vouchers so paid 1.99 woo! Just planning on getting her some new clothes now which i will look out for in sales etc.
Will have to have a look at the Boots stuff, sounds great! I have got some boots points too which i can use for presents.
Hope everyones having nice weekends. I went across London with Poppy in her baby carrier yesterday to Greenwich for my sisters birthday lunch with my family. She was having a party in the evening which i could have stayed for but didn't have any of Poppys sleeping stuff. I got my lunch free though as it was on the menu as one type of risotto and when it came out was different so he knocked it off the bill!:money:.It was still very nice.
Been doing a bit of hoovering/mopping today ...exciting stuff.0 -
Wow dinah thats a pretty good list i hope you get through it! I dont think it's that horrendous really, it just depends how long things take i.e. people you call up putting you on hold etc! Well, it is a long list but what I mean is i think you can do it!
I've got loads of work to do today but its mostly revision stuff boo!! (I i dont like that job because it is basically never ending!!)
We watched friends with benefits the other day! oooh mr JT is hot!!
I'm away most of this week but I really need to sort so many things out and especially budgets etc! I've just bought things like a tv licence for the year which is a big cost and we've got the council tax bill etc but it still all needs sorting out!! I don't actually know when payday is yet too so thats a bit wierd...! It can't come soon enough though I tell you! We have been buying some reduced things from the shops etc and trying to keep food costs down but have had to eat out a few times and I'm stil trying to get used to london prices!!! (ouch!!) bad news is that the house buying goal has been put off for another few years unfortunately but once our jobs and paydays are sorted we might be able to sort out how much/what we can afford to put away - at the minute we're relying on CCs a bit much i think
Very exciting that birdie is on her honeymoon!! I can't wait to see all the pictures etc and CMD I think I will need to add you on fb or something because I'd love to see pictures of baby Evie!
Not a lot else to report really but I am intrigued about this new approach to debt busting D and NIM! Is it about £15K that you owe? How is NIM looking on the payrise front? what happened to all the OU Courses? sorry If I've missed updates/forgotton things it just seems like a salary increase (although it is good to have any job!!) would be a good anser to some of your problems! (OH is job hunting atm though and I know that you have to take what you can!) and I believe that you have a pretty good salary so forgive me if I've given my opinion out of turn!!
Cinny I am very impressed that you have bought all of the gifts already and kept to just £150! I have not really thought about christmas yet but its a shame because the last 2 years have almost all been paid with amazon vouchers from bing0p0rt and d00y00 but I haven't used these for a while now and only have £10ish on amazon and nothing lined up for in the future!! That means this christmas will have to be paid for with (eeek!) CASH!!!0 -

I don't know whether to say 'oh dear' or not! On one hand, less than half done, on the other, my house (well the rooms we use) is spotless, I haven't really stopped all weekend, and I do feel like I got a lot done. Guess the list will just have to roll over for the coming week too.
Oh and the movie is lined up Starnac, but don't think NIM will be coming to bed any time soon as court documents need to be submitted tomorrow, so you can't hold that one against me!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Okay Dinah I'll let you off. I just thought something where you could both unwind would be nice to put on the list.
Cinny, We went to B00ts on the weekend and used their 3for2 offer and paid using the points i save all year. Also picked up a few bits and pieces over the last couple of months so I made a list of everything I've bought so i knew who I still had to get for and we've bought most of DH's family (just his dad and niece to get) and some of the kids in church and we've spent a grand total of £3.50 so far!!! not bad. :T DH said he thinks we may be able to double the budget if we're careful :rotfl: If only I could get all my shopping done for less than £10!Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
If only I could get all my shopping done for less than £10!
Sounds like a challenge to me starnac!
Just rang Sky as they still don't have a date for my broadband, the man was quite helpful and said he will try to push it along, he's ringing me back later on today but I think its going to be another two weeks!
Is the 2 for 3 stuff in Boots good at the moment? Might have to pop in as I happen to have a Boots voucher! Went to town on Sat but OH parked in one of those free-for-an-hour spots so I had to rush about and didn't have time to mooch, which is guess is kind of MSE in itself!

3 for 2 yeah it is. I was quite surprised they'd started it this early tbh.
As for the challenge of all my shopping for under £10 I can't see that happening. Although it shouldn't cost me too much. I'm making presents for everyone in church. My sister is going half with me for our parents presents. We don't really spoil DD as it's quite overwhelming for her plus there's not a lot she needs. and the baby is getting some off DD's toys recycled.
