I'd still rather have a real one.

How much water is in 8 glasses? I drink a 1.5L bottle of water at work every day, then usually 3 tall glasses of milk or water at home and also a glass of smoothie. I think I'm probably drinking enough?

I don't like eating first thing in the morning. Ever since my first TOTM I've woken up feeling slightly queesy about half the month, so I always take something with me I can eat later when its worn off. Hence the smoothies. Have a MS for a supermarket tonight, need to be sure to pick up some fruit as I think all we have is 2 frozen bananas and that won't make the most interesting smoothie. I hate paying full price for fruit for smoothies though, I only raid the mushy reduced bins as its being pulverised anyway.

It is weird how you feel like you're eating more, I'm going for the 8 glasses of water a day too so it feel like if I'm not eating, I'm drinking!

And when you're not drinking you're running to the loo because you're drinking so much! ;)

I don't skip breakfast but it's not always as good as it should be. If only I liked fruit it would be a lot easier! :o

I think you're drinking plenty Dinah, I need to cut back on the coffee and drink more water at work, but I just like the whole coffee break thing that comes with the coffee, we usually make a point of sitting back and having a chat over our mugs for a few minutes, doesn't feel the same when I'm holding my High School Musical 'glass'.

Cleaning is not my strong point either Lara, our cupboards only get cleaned when they need it. There's no regularity with any of our cleaning TBH, if it looks dirty, clean it! :o

I cleaned the kitchen cupboard doors yesterday for first time in ages. Been trying to do flylady but seem to give up halfway through week.

8 erm, glasses?! I don't actually know! I think the glasses I use are pint ones, so 8 pints I guess :D They're just 'tall' glasses, 88p for 4 from Asda

The way I see it is your metabolism decreases by 10% while you sleep, it also decreases by about 40% if you don't eat for 12 hours. I don't tend to eat after 8 at night, so I tell myself I need to eat before 8 in the morning to kick start my metabolism for the day. If you don't have time for breakfast try Green tea, pop it in a thermal mug with the tea bag for your walk or drive to work. First off it's 0 calories and can be counted towards your water intake for the day, and it helps boost you metabolism.

The only reason I clean them so often is because I like the smell of Apple Dettol and they're white so look better gleaming! Plus I hate the kitchen, keeping it clean is the only way it looks good in my eyes :o

Story of my life at the minute!! I cant get enough of ice cold water at the minute and drink around 3 litres a day, but then baby starts bouncing on my bladder and I spend half the day going up and down the stairs to the toilet :rotfl:
On the plus side I only got up for the toilet 3 times last night instead of the 6+ times I normally get up! Poor OH is not getting much sleep at the minute because of me, then he has to go and work a 12 hour shift.

I don't drink in the car after an incident with my first car when I managed to hit the underside of the dashboard cupholder when putting on the indicator and fire a open can of coke into the air and it went inside the inbuilt stereo and air conditioning system, frying the both of them. It must be a gradual decline anyway ie after 7.5 hours it would be at 35% rather than a sudden drop. I think we usually eat dinner around 7pm, but it can very wildly tbh. I do always drink milk throughout the evening and have a glass before bed at about 10pm, so that'll be the last thing my metabolism has to think about before the 8.30am smoothie. It's probably rare I don't have anything other than water for 12 hours. I keep meaning to get on the scales and see the damage France did. Brothers picky gf meant we ended up eating a lot more bread and pasta than I would have liked and I felt pretty rubbish tbh, looking forward to getting some veg back in the house. Might try to put in a tesco order at lunchtime from work.

omg 6 times in one night?! You must be exhausted, you can't be getting more than 2 hours sleep in a go.

We've taken to shutting the cat out our room at night as my asthma seems to be kicking up. She isn't liking it though and wakes us up either by clawing at the door or by throwing herself against it.

Hate to say it Flower but think its our bodies way or preparing us for having a newborn hehe. My OH is lucky that he is a real deep sleeper so my waking up for the loo when pregnant and to sort Poppy out now doesn't wake him!

My nights at the minute consist of me being absolutly exhausted going to bed around 10pm, lying wide awake til around 12:30am trying to get comfy. From then on its a combination of getting up to go to the toilet, trying to get comfy and sleeping (or more napping really) until about 8am when I just give up.

I think it depends how tired OH is really as to whether he wakes up. Some nights he doesnt hear me at all, other nights are like this.

    Me get up.
    OH: "where are you going?"
    Me: "Toilet"
OH: "How can you wee so much in one night, you only just went?!"
Me: "Your son is bouncing on my bladder thats how!!"

Dinah I feel your pain with cats not liking being shut out the bedroom. OH cant sleep with the bedroom door open but the cat hates being locked out the room and sits meowing and scratching at the door.
