Normally I'd love baby kitties, but our cat has a kidney problem and it could kill her, so it would be a bit bittersweet!

My washer is plumbed in! I'm glad I paid the £12 extra for a silver and grey one though as the cupboard door won't go back on over it so my very sleek kitchen is looking decidedly less so.

Have updated my money totals. Not as much has been made in the challenge as I hoped, this last week has been a bit dead and nothing much has arrived (but then again, I've been away so nothing has been done either!) Total so far is £394.85 (Mystery shopping, bit of amazon, some refunds from cancelled policies ie TV licence and home insurance who over charged us). Would like to get that over £600 before NYC if I can, or at least know it will be over the £600 by the time we get back.

  • Ah then kitties not such a good idea! £600 would be a great amount, when is new York?

Currently waiting for my delayed train, so I'll miss my bus and either pay for taxi or wait ages for another bus. I have some time owing to me but don't want to spend it sitting on a platform! Plus if I get there for 9 I have chance of getting the free rail voucher Martin mentioned in weekly email, decisions decisions!

whats wrong with your brothers girlfriend?

She's just one of those girls who needs to be the centre of attention ALL the time, and if she's not and notbeing treated by royalty all will know of and suffer for her displeasure.
Is it wrong that I'm a little bit hopeful of baby kitties...

There was a part of me thought the same but then I remembered the whole kidney failure problem and was sad. Still our place wouldnt be safe for a baby kitten as its still a work in progress :o

Haha! :D Nice to have you two back, I am surprised you read all the posts. I'd wouldn't have bothered, I'll be honest!!

Your poor kitty! I was going to say, kittens would be so sweet but if it could, well yano, then that's not cute or sweet or lovely at all :(

How old is your Brother's ladylove? Might just be an age thing, plenty of girls are like that but grow out of it. Shame it kind of spoilt your holiday though.

But we're not having a high gloss kitchen?? The cupboards are a dark walnut, and while the worktops will be black I don't know what type he put us down for. We're getting a bigger fridge freezer though, which will be high gloss. As long as people use the handles and don't friggen lean on it we'll be good.

Good luck with losing the 7lb! I dropped nearly 2 last week on my new thing. I don't like to call it a diet, because it really isn't and I hate the word! You aren't going to be doing any more of those crazy diet schemes are you?!

Newsletter muffins - moral money dilema - I think we have a celebrity in our midst.

No I know you're not having a high gloss one - I wrote that before seeing what you were having but thought I'd leave the rant there just in case anyone ever considered it because my God they'd regret it! Your one looks very smart (and unlikely to show up steam)

How are you calling it a thing not a diet? Anything under 1500 cals is considered a crash diet not even a normal diet and you seem to be calorie counting. I'm not actually doing any kind of diet - I realised through that crazy project that the only thing that really works is a permenant lifestyle change, I'm just not buying chocolate, making cakes etc, and trying to pay more attention to when I'm full as opposed to when my plate is clear. And trying to do more vegetarian/vegetable based meals with less stodge ie rice or naan bread rather than both with homemade curry is about 1/4 the fat of a takeaway one with rice and naan (but sometimes it just doesn't hit the spot the same!). We also cleared all the store cupboard tins out of the attic last night, so we're going to try to eat through those too as most of them are pulses. Not going to think of any of these rules while in NYC though where it will be all cheesecake and cupcakes :D

With my mouth, typically. And also because it isn't a diet, it's a life style chance. I'm counting calories because I need to make sure I don't go under 1200 a day after exercise. Even more so now I'm basically just eating fruit and veg with no secretly calorie packed 'treats' My new theory is like yours. Eat right, exercise right, and the weight will take care of itself.

Oh right! I thought maybe I'd posted the wrong link or something :rotfl: But it must be so annoying to have to basically deep clean after you use things - OH wanted a black gloss one but he's a mucky pup and it would be up to t'old muggins here to keep it spotless. It'd drive me crazy, and my Mum too most likely!

And a celebrity?! WHAAAAAT?! ETA: Oh, I'm there!

Now I think of it a black gloss kitchen is probably the best weight loss plan there is, it takes about 1 1/2 hours to get it shiny again - after which you don't want to cook and do it all again and ergo loose weight. Genius.
