But after reading about the appalling way in which Liz was recently treated I would definately be having a long hard think about this?

I am unsure as to what the positive side of this would be, but best of luck all the same.

Be careful, is this the company that was adding all compers to facebook? I didnt like that approach so didn't reply. Good luck though

best of luck, but as all the others have said be careful,
it's no fun being on the receiving end of jealous/nasty comments,
i was once asked by a local paper to do an article but i declined &
am glad i did, much prefer to keep my comping/wins quiet nowdays after all the carp that sometimes comes with a few mins of fame.

Am really starting to think I might say no.

My other half is very unkeen on it.

And I wouldn't be getting anything from doing it - except perhaps some extra publicity for competitionclub and my blog.

The bad press/negative comments side of things has got me thinking i'll say no.

Competitionclub already has over 2000 fans on fb (great job by the way) and is growing by the day. I am unsure as to whether this would really be productive in any way?

Unfortunately, I can only see the negativity which could result from this. I somehow cannot see CH4 painting this in a positive light and as has been proven time and time again, they can edit it to make it appear how they want.

I would really think about this carefully for your own sake.

Thanks Zoold - I am definitely starting to lean towards a NO.

The lady at channel 4 is calling me back tomorrow and I'll prob say no.

I just cannot see what positive things could come of it.

Just out of curiousity, I know you say it's a documentary about competitions but do you know what the documentary is trying to explore?

I too am wondering whether they are going to be looking at it with a positive or negative view or whether they will be relating it to the recession and should we pay taxes on our wins etc.

I am also sorry to put a downer on something that sounds as exciting as this.. but i have to agree.. unless i was getting a heft 5k payment i wouldnt bother...
I also think about things like the fact that ur home and wins will be on telly so people will know ur home may contact expensive tvs/consoles etc.. this would worry me.
When people talk about comping in public i usually joke and say shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh dont tell everyone... haha... good luck either way

Exactly what I was wondering? What light are C4 going to portray this in? Somehow, I do not think it will be a positive one?

Very interested to see everyone's comments - I too am having a call back tomorrow and they are considering asking me to go on this programme too!! Its really made me consider twice tho Treacle - I enjoy my hobby and would hate to be put down over it and seems to be a big possibility that someone out there would do that! Think Im going to decline.
