Yep, it's always great getting a freebie.
Toluna does take time, but currently I can get some stuff already, I think I'll probably just send away for the £15 HMV voucher and get Champ Manager.
Also have another 1 voucher I think I'll send away for to put towards Xmas prezzie.

Well I've decided to opt for the HMV £15 voucher. Also elected to go with MySurvey's £10 Peacocks voucher, I'm only a few hundred points short of another too.
I'm also a few pounds away from another Valued Opinion £10 voucher.
Into the bargain I have £40 M&S vouchers coming to us (supposedly in December, hopefully before Xmas will be good for Prezzies, if not, we'll use it for Clothes in January Sale) via Legal & General Insurance taken out. And also in Top Cashback I have over £40 to come in soon due to car insurance taken.
This will go a good way to making sure we don't really have to touch our Visa card or at least hit it back for Xmas. Shopping is already underway and got a fair bit in already.
Going good.

Bit of a bummer last night, seems the Tumble Dryer is on the blink, so had to use the card, £200.
On the Surveys front, going really well, have done quite well so far, on my 3rd Tesco voucher now (still have £10 to spend and another £10 coming), Global T-Market is sending a cheque in coming weeks of around £30, Just got a £10 Game Voucher from Opinion World on the way and have another £10 Peacocks voucher on it's way from My Survey.
Also received teh £40 M&S Vouchers so they went torwards some clothes for our little girl.
And noticed that I'll receive around £40-£50 from Top Cashback in March.
Must be roughly around £150 I've gained so far, and that's only since August.

Well little confession to make, might be re-newing a loan, will put us out £40.00 per month worse off, but we are intending to go on holiday to Orlando with our little girl in 2013 and probably would've hit the visa, so this will more or less pay it off. Payments to visa's etc will not be affected and still hope to make the same clearance date sometime early to mid 2013. At that point we'd hope to maybe be able to either do both or at least one of increasing our payments to the loan or our mortgage to reduce term.
The dream of Orlando is too strong and tbh we'd probably have just about cleared off our visa and then hit it again, so this is probably the quicker of 2 evils to get that.

can you save for holiday instead? will be much better really than more debt.. great news on the surveys :-)
orlando is amazing!0 -
Hi Cherry,
It would be obviously better, looking at our finances we hope to have the visa clear by early 2013, however no doubt we'd have to hit the visa and it'd be not far off another £3k hit, as we'd only have a few months to save the credit card saving we'd have then (£200 per month).
If we take out the loan we pay the extra £40 per month and mean's we'll probably not touch the visa at all, if we don't we'd have to hit it and we could maybe look at moving it to a 0% deal, although there will be initial charges.
I think if we saved with the extra money we had, we'd have only saved around £1500 or so, possibly a tiny bit more if we shoogle some other things about.
Me and the wife went to Orlando twice at the end of the 90's, was awesome but we want to do the Disney Magic with our little girl and she'll be 7 so a good age.

Keep up the good work0

Not sure how to advise really, i personally wouldnt get into more debt for a holiday next year.. you need to be free from these asap.. so not worth the interest..
If I was you i would put a deposit down next year with that savings and plan for the following year.. your little girl will be 8 then and have more of a chance of being tall enough to go on all the rides.. in the interim maybe disney paris.. the sun was doing a day trip for £19.00 for a family of 4.. you could maybe have a nights stay over.
Atleast then you will avoid the further debt and stress it will put on you in the future..
Hope it was ok to advse, i was worried for ya lol x Like you i would have just wacked it on a card or loan just a year ago..0 -
Yeah Cherry, thanks, weighing it up a bit, still not sure, thanks nonetheless.
We were at DLP in 2009, was excellent, although it was very expensive, and tbh that Sun deal is only worth it if you go for a day visit and from Glasgow, don't think I'll try that.

Doing quite well at the moment, albeit still debating the loan issue. The holiday might be a bit too much of a pull, but we'll see.
Surveys are going great guns, although got a bit excited thought I was getting onto Pinecone Research but unfortunately didn't make the criteria for the specific survey type. Said they'd keep me on file and hopefully be back in touch. Maybe need to not be too honest.
Surveys have done me really well and have picked up quite a bit of money already, and into the bargain have a rewards card from MBNA which might give me some half decent money come January (get's paid Annually). If I'm lucky enough to get my bonus at work too then will put that and the visa money to the credit card money we owe.
I've also sent away for some PPI claims, guess it's worth a try, I know people will say I should've done it myself, but at the moment I could do without the major hassle so I've put a company onto it for me, if they win they'll get 30%, but I'm not overly worried if it comes off, it's money I might never had bothered getting. If nothing happens then at least I know.
