    Bought a nice jar of stilton and half bottle of Taylors port for £4.00 instead of £8.00 from Tesco!!!

  • I was in Asda yesterday and got loads of bargains.....Cadbury's large selection boxes now £1.49, the smaller one's 50p. Kids character money tins with sweets inside now 72p (car's and little mermaid) date on these 02/08 so perfect for birthday presents throughout the year or put away for next xmas. They also had the Car's biscuits in tin half price to £2.48, there were loads of other biscuits and chocolate bargains most half price.

    I also bought my xmas cards for next year 98p for 30 cards was £2.47.

    Just been to the big Sainsburys on the Stratford Road and they have once again reduced all Xmas sweets to 75% off.

    Sell by dates are quite good some as far as October so ideal for Easter, Mothers Day and any other day! Some examples Guilyan (not sure of spelling) 74p a box, liqueur chocs £1.24 and 74p. Lots of selection boxes at 57p each and lots of tubes of buttons, jelly tots etc for 37p.

    just been to Sainsburys and they have the following:
    800g maltesers bucket at around £1.60 (was £6ish)
    big tubes of smarties/revels/fruit pastilles/milkybar etc at 34p (was £1.30ish)
    big boxes of cadburys eclairs(500g) and bassett's liquorice allsorts(600g) at 84p(was £3.50ish)
    selection boxes at 50ish p
    the lindt reindeer at 57p (was £2.50ish)
    800g tins if quality street at £1.40ish.
    a box(in the shape of a handbag) of all different types of milk and dark chocolates(bars,lollies,big bar etc) was £12 now £3.
    plus other xmas chocs at 75% off

    Tesco have tins of Quality Street etc if you can find them for £1.49. Probably the same price they are in Sainsburys as I think this is about 75% off.
