Anyone suggest what I should respond as I am not happy to wait!
You shouldn't have to wait for the seller to make a claim, it's down to interpretation how long you should wait before a parcel is considerated as lost. My company won't entertain any non-recept claims until 2 weeks from dispatch have past.
However no one has checked the local delivery office which is the first thing to do.
If no luck at the delivery office I would avise the seller you are happy to wait until such a date (however long you feel you should wait, as above 2 weeks is fair IMO) to see if it does turn up and at that point a refund should be made and that the claim is down to the seller. You should offer, should the parcel arrive after the refund, to repay or to return the parcel (as a seller I would offer the cost of this, particularly outside the 15 working days, but there is no obligation for the seller to do this unless they are a business and don't confirm to the DSRs).
If you seller refuses the above then it would be dispute time as you've been reasonable, worked with them and would now be seeking what is entitled, a full refund.

OPen a full chargeback via paypal (make sure you stick with paypal and don't get diverted to ebay). Make sure it is a full chargeback for INR..do not follow my other advice about giving the seller another couple of days , they have shown their hand now so it's time to play tough.
Great, so no one has checked the delivery office and we're all off to a dispute, no wonder there is so much animosity between buyers and sellers. The seller appears misguided rather dishonest and an explaination of the rules may fair better than a dispute. As above it should be a last resort. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
I have opened a dispute then go through to a chargeback, No doubt I will get a horrible email later. I paid £76 for this item, it is unreasonable the way the seller is being. If I am a seller I post everything special delivery if it is worth more than £30 and if I have used standard for the items less than £10, I would refund a buyer if they have not received an item not expect them to wait even longer and it could be ages waiting for Royal Mail. I am fuming. No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Thanks for your message. I contacted my delivery office earlier. I do not feel the seller is going to be reasonable otherwise they would not have suggested I wait for Royal Mail. The moment a seller makes a lost parcel 'my ' responsibility I stop being helpful. The seller has shown their hand, so I would stop bothering at that point.
Anyway I go to my mail centre most days as I send my parcels from there, but if i had to phone them about a parcel I would get nowhere as they don't answer their phones- ever.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I agree, It has boiled my blood, I haven't responded to her message and put in a dispute.
Used to be the same situation here, accept now I have a number for the sorting office from my old job and someone always answers that number so I call that lolNo you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Then you would have to complain about this to Royal Mail and go to the delivery office in person. As above by dealing with normal people on eBay this type of situation is going to occur, it's obvious seller is misguided if they sent a £76 parcel with no tracking.
