Thanks Crazychik. I think the problem is that you can't put two hamsters together as they fight. I know when the kids had gerbils when they were young (Sugar and Spice) that it was OK as gerbils are better if there is more than one. When Sugar passed away, Spice wasn't far behind. The lifespan of these wee creatures is quite short. Our gerbils lived about a year beyond the average so must have been doing it right! We never needed a shredder in those days as those girls fairly munched up the bills and receipts. However, I now ramble from memories of about 20 years ago!

  • Hi everybody. Greetings from rainy County Antrim.

Hope all MSErs, especially the OS members, had a good Christmas. We enjoyed a fairly quiet day, basically ate and watched TV, although we did manage a modest walk. Yesterday we fared better, tackling a local 3-mile forest walk. We were pretty tired afterwards

Busy today, tidying up and getting ready for work, although it is only 2 days then off again for another 5!:D

    Have a good evening, everyone.

My hamster was allowed out to explore a room quite often, and sometimes we just couldn't find her again.

We used to put a small pile of sugar puffs in the middlw of the room, and then sit in there very very quietly. Eventually the smell of the SPs would be oo much for her, and she would go over and eat them.

We would quietly move up and gently collect her, plus some sugar puffs, and pop her back in her cage.

If you don't know which room she is in, I would recommend closing ALL the doors for ALL the rooms, and putting a small amount of food in each one. If the food disappears, you'll know which room she is in, and then you can try the sugar puff trick.

    Hope that helps

    Granny,

We left Scotland some years ago. OH was born in Edinburgh, we both worked in the city and commuted each day by car, I had parking where I worked and OH used to travel home by bus....we always kept out of the City during the festival, just travelling in for work and home again.

We came south to our family who all lived here, mind you there are times when I wish we were back there.....................

    Hi Everyone,

Hope you have had a nice Christmas. I ended up down the doctors on Xmas day with DS as he has Whooping Cough. Otherwise Xmas day was good. Went to the sales on Boxing day, and got a nice new top from Primark for £1. Was back at work today, and boss let us go at 2.30pm which was a nice surprise. I'm now off until the 8th Jan, so will have a proper look at sales tomorrow (need new work clothes) minus DS.:D

Have a good evening all ...Powie

    evening everyone and welcome hypo06

having a lazy evening am going to have a nice relaxing bubbly bath, then a night of tv !
im sooo glad that pauline has left eastenders, believe me she is that moany in real life too ! we saw her at the airport a few years ago, she was getting on the same plane as us going to america ( oh says she was going to see michelle !! ) anyway my daughter who was only 8 at the time went up to her, but she just snubbed her and turnrd away, how rude was that, my daughter was so upset, im sure that the security must have seen it happen as they stopped her and searched her before she was allowed on.. so everyone walked past her grinning !!!!
im going to indulge in chocolate before, during and after my bath !!!!
