    Hi everybody,

Ready to hit the sack in a mo. Just got back from the house & had a shower. It's 10pm now. I am had it, and tomorrow will be the same. We have done 1 & 1/2 walls tiling done so far. :p I have just slathered lavender hand cream which I got as a gift from DSis on my hands to make them feel more normal. I've also been painting. I'd say by next week we will be able to start moving our furniture in and I can start unpacking boxes. :j What fun. :D

Rain here again today. Hope it fines up as I need to take a heap of rubbish down to the dump. Another fun outing. :D The millions of flies tend to spoil it but you can still have a good time.

PP Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. Lucky you that your Mum paid off your car debt. She wasn't such a bad old stick after all. :D

Rzl Would love to own a pestle & mortar. I am definatly going to put that on my wish list for next year.

Well off to have a wee surf before going night night's. Have a great day and (((((hugs)))))))) to those feeling poorly or down in the dumps.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Just back for a quick [STRIKE]moan[/STRIKE]update. I now have one sulking DH.:p He rang to ask how I was getting on re putting xmas toys away. I mentioned how helpful I'd found it him just pouring both kids stuff into the same bags and dumping in bedrooms! It's been especially hard cos I've started in DD bedroom which is the smallest, and though not exactly a box room, in the sense you can get both a bed and a wardrobe in it, there's still not a great deal of space.

DH asked if that was the same as me saying "thank you for tidying up" and next year he won't bother:rolleyes: . After nearly 8 years of marriage I'm still not with why I have to say thank you to him when he tidies up our house or does something with our kids  . Perhaps I should start sulking each night when he doesn't thank me for looking after the kids all day or for making his tea :rotfl:

After that I asked the kids to put some dvds in the relevant rooms, when they still hadn't done it after the third time, I threw them out of the window:o (it was just the paper cases-I checked;) ). Result 2 kids hurrying downstairs to retrieve them and put them away!

Ahh well DD starts full-time school in Sept maybe I'll go back to work in a jobwhere I can't have time off at Christmas and get my revenge on the lot of them next year :D

Good afternoon all - Hope we are well

    Thinking of you taplady
Pen-pin lets hope the Doc sorts you out with new pain killers
Welcome clu, start as you mean to go on.
Hope you DH feels better roz, Ive not personally had shingles, but know of other who have.

I got back into bed at 5.50am, OH got up for work 10mins after. I managed a little sleep, but still feeling rough, I rung the doctor's to be told all appointments have now gone for the day and to ring again at 8.30am thurs. I didnt want to bother with the Doc on call, so will grin n bare the pain a while longer. Yes DLB, it started in Sept, cleared up, then came back with vengance, its been like it now for nearly 6weeks. Im on my 3rd lot of anti-biotics. And 2nd lot of ear spray.

Im looking at the room and thinking OH NO! Just dont have the energy to tackle what I wanted to do.

Glad you got you dinner arrangemnets sorted DLB with DS friend family.

OH's car sold on ebay, the first winning bidder said it wasn't suitable for their needs, and the wife bidded on it by mistake I sent a message saying next time - supervise your wife, he called her a DIV! - so then it was offered to the next highest bidder, apparently he's coming down from Glasgow! Not bothered where he comes from as long as it goes soon.

Think thats about all my news for now.
Take care and have a lovely day
    Love as usual

Hi everyone!! Haven't posted for some days, combination of no time and that Ive been unwell all Christmas!icon9.gif Not really ill like some on this board, but full of cold, raw sore throat, infected sinuses, thumping headache...........you get the picture!:rotfl: Beginning to feel a bit more human now, but it was touch and go!:D Apparently my Christmas lunch was a masterpiece of taste and moistness!:D I couldn't taste a thing and hardly ate anything! On the plus side I've lost 3 lbs without even trying!:rotfl: :rotfl: Still tons of food left, despite my cutting back, so plenty of opportunity to put it all back on again.
I havent managed to read the threads yet, will try, but there is a mountain of washing and ironing to get done, just didn't feel up to it the last few days.

(((hugs)))) to all that need them and hopefully I'll manage to catch up on any important news Ive missed.

Aussie glad the house is going well! Tiling's a killer for the hands , its the tile cement thats so drying.
How dare you have rain now, when rain a couple of weeks or so ago could have saved the cricket?:rotfl: :D :rotfl:

Well off to do a bit more, then must pop round to a friends with her birthday card and gift. Hope I'm not still infectious, she wouldn't thank me for any "extras":o

Having a quiet day today. tidying up and having bits and pieces for lunch. Just want to say thank you to everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers regarding the loss of Uncle Noel. Obviously we have no idea of any arrangements as firstly there will have to be a Post Mortem and only then can my Aunt make any arrangements. Hugs to everyone that needs them, hope everyone in pain recovers and that you all have a peaceful, happy and warm(!) day. Much love to all Annie XXXX

  • Hi,
This is my first post in a couple of days as I speand waaaay too much time on here so I decided on christmas eve that I was not going to come on again until after boxing day, I can be really bad - I pop on for five minutes and an hour later I am still here.

I had a great christmas and got lots of pressies. My family all loved the presents they got too which makes the stressful run up to christmas almost worthwhile.

Got loads planned for today, we are going bowling later and first I have the WM and DW to put on. I also have to sort out the meals for the rest of this week as my menu plan has gone completely out of the window!!!!

Got some baking to do too. I am going to make a chicken pie and also a corned beef and potato one.

    Bye for now

    xx

    Hello everybody :hello:

Having a pottering day today. Made a batch of butter and then Irish Soda Bread with the buttermilk. Then moved on to making a huge batch of tomato soup. That is now cooling and waiting to be boxed up for the freezer.

OH has started off a batch of wine and then went on to make some HM pasta whilst I made the bolognese. Enough for DD and her OH when they call in shortly.

I'm now having half an hours peace and quiet whilst OH plays on Half Life.

Have a lovely OS day every one :D
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D
