    Hi all :D

Well, I can now say that kids eating 3 weeks worth of chocs in 1 day (without me knowing) makes for a very messy back car seat. It's OK - it was Mr TM's car, he was taking them out for a long walk up the hills on Boxing Day when DS2 decided enough was enough :rotfl:

Am sat at mother's .... was told to bring the remains of the trifle back so she can take it to my sister's tonight. Only thing is, mum is out for lunch with a friend, so I thought I'd clean up her PC ... and come on here at same time :) Mum apparently was moaning to both my sisters that it was a very strange xmas day. I didn't provide a full buffet tea!! !!!!!!, we only finished the main meal at 5pm, then when I brought a cheese board out at 9.30, she refused the sandwiches my sis said she was making - she can't remember this. I decided i wasn't going to spend all day in the kitchen, so wasn't going to lay out a full spread that no-one would touch. She's of the opinion it's nice to have it laid out, even if no-one eats it!! Hey mum, get over it, life's too short :D And she moaned that there was a 30 minute gap between started and main course!! Scuse me for cooking veg!!

Anyway, have decided to give the sales a miss. Popped into town yesterday, as much to get out of the house as anything. Went to TJ Hughes and bought some cheapy everyday wine glasses. Got 8 plain but decent ones for £6 and then 12 really cheapy ones for £4 - will do for the open house I'm having on Friday, saves getting plastic cups :rotfl:

Am going to go home in a bit - Mr TM has taken DS1 for a walk ... well, that was the plan but as it's raining, I doubt it. DS2 is across the road at his friends so I've told the mum I'll pop in and we can have a glass of wine :D :j (I haven't even been tipsy this xmas  - yet!! LOL)

Oh, and MUST try on my Leeeeeeesure suit today. Keep forgetting ;) - am currently wearing my designer jacket mum got me. (MIL could replace her wardrobe for the amount this cost )

Anyway, have fun and ((hugs)) to those in need and welcome to any newbies

ps B Rzl - glad you've got your BB. Now, get your msn sorted hun and we can have a chat :D

    Happy Christmas all

Been away at mum's for the duration so haven't read any threads (yet).

We all had a good time. Kids happy - DS at my feet playing with his DS (if that makes sense!)

Off to MILs soon for loads of stuff out of boxes (I am an ungrateful cow, i know I know). Kids to be overloaded on salt and sugar. I s'pose it is christmas.

Not going anywhere near any sales - I am not allowed to buy anything apart from groceries until february! How will I resist the Bridgewater sale? By not going near edinburgh - it is 120 miles away, I should be able to cope!.

Just been shown up by a 4 year old. He can work the DS much better than I can.:rotfl:

    :jOS'ers :j

Had an awful night so did not get up until after 12 noon. We finished the smoked salmon in sandwiches and then popped off to Tesco to take back some faulty things.......spent £16 on reduced stuff for next years christmas......got a lovely basket with lavender stuff in for £7.50 plus some makeup stuff for GDS's and a shaving set for GS.........also picked up a reduced gammon joint and a couple of quiches for 30p, you cannot make them for that and kept in the freezer they are great as a standby.

I have finished spending now, I am going to try and cut down on what we spend on food..........I need to save some cash towards our holiday and the rises in pension will not cover the rise in our gas, electric and council tax.......I am going to go through the freezer in the kitchen and see whats in before I do my shopping list for next month.......also need to sort out the tin cupboard.........

Going to Ikea on Friday with my friend, she is looking for tables for a workshop she is hoping to set up........

Supper tonight the remains of the beef with yorkies, mash and veg and rasp trifle for afters, think it will do tomorrow as well, we will finish off the ham with jackets and salad...............

enjoy the rest of the day.............

Just been half way round Edinburgh bypass to Dobbies to get a humane catcher for Cookie! Hoping for a result before too long. DGS1 just been on the phone asking how Cookie is. I hope I was suitably vague with fingers crossed tightly! How long do I do this for until I give up and buy a new Cookie? What if we end up with C1 and C2????

Will have to go out sharp tomorrow as I have a few essentials to see to - like renewing my Costco card so I can bulk buy my soap powder. Just realised I am about out of stocks and my card expired a month ago. If I go to Costco my loft will be groaning as I try and bulk buy a lot of basics. The last lot of toilet roll lasted months and we are still using the mountain of kitchen roll I bought in the summer.

Thoughts to all who are having a poorly day.

    Can I join in please!?

Had a day of sorting out finances, making budgets, lists etc etc. OH will wish he had stayed at work when I start going through everything with him this evening!!

No clients booked in today - my last day off for Christmas so need to get back into work mode for tomorrow. Quite looking forward to it actually!

The children got some cinema vouchers for Christmas so they went off to see Flushed Away this afternoon. As I drove into the city with them the queues for all the sales and car parks were soooo long, so decided just to drop off the children, go home and have coffee and make more lists etc, and go back for them when the film finished.

I have only just started looking at the OS board, but am strangely looking forward to using up my existing cleaning stuff in order that I can try your way of doing things, and the cupboard and freezer challenges are definately beckoning for January (that was one of the lists I was making!).

At the moment a carrot cake is cooking in the bread maker and the smell is driving me crazy!!!

    Have a good evening everyone!

I am not too far away from Port Seton. Are you still in Scotland? I think you would get a shock as to how much more busy now! I had to go to airport last month at 7 am and Sheriffhall all backed up (you will know what I mean csarina!). So glad I don't have to commute around there daily. I just have 3 miles each way which is wonderful!

Will have to do the bypass again soon as DS and DSP have to get taken to airport for flights home. Maybe sneek in a quick G+T so DH has to do that one!

Welcome hypno06. I only signed up a week or so ago but I had been watching the threads for some time. Wonderful! Got a great tip about left-over wax in candleholders which proved so useful to DSP today - she was about to throw out a really nice holder as she couldn't remove old wax! (The answer is of course to pop holder in freezer for a while and the old stuff just pops out.)
